Aim

Know the range of services provision available in health and social care (adults, children and young people), early years and childcare in own local area.

Objectives

• Reflect on Services available in the area• Identify how to create a questionnaire• Develop a questionnaire• Identify informal care • Explain WHY informal care is invaluable to

the the service

We have now looked at where different services are located in Fareham by producing our posters.

We have discussed independent, statutory, voluntary and informal care. Discuss with your neighbour the most effective service you have used and why? 2 mins

You will be producing questionnaires to give out to you family and friends about the local services they use.

• Types of Health Services used?

• Types of Care Services used?

• Types of Early Years Services used?

• Types of Voluntary Services used?

• Who uses what service in the family and how do they access the service?

Give your questionnaires to a range of ages.

Write up your questionnaires in rough then in directed study you will type them up.

Let’s have some fun

Create a badge!

• Take one of the local services labels and using card, craft bits and your imagination create a badge. We will laminate them when done.

• When complete, pin on your badge and each in turn will introduce themselves and tell the group what service they provide and how you can benefit the community

• Think and look for a minute……– I have set up FOUR zones,

– THE HEALTH ZONE– THE SOCIAL CARE ZONE– EARLY YEARS ZONE– OTHER SERVICE ZONE

and tell us what you have written on your flip chart paper.
