we found similar problems faced by other MTT-S SBC in Delhi section, So we Planned out an idea to Organize Collaborative events.

Recently we organized a collaborative event with ASET MTT-S SBC at their place, which boosted their volunteers.

AT PRESENT, We have

70 Student Members*

& 1 Professional

Member

IEEE MTT-S MSIT SBC Established in July-2012

With 27 Members

But Due to lack of interest, there were only 12 members in January 2013 and by April 2013 strength of Active Members Reduced to 5

We Analyzed and with proper Planning, we Did a Come Back

*55 on record at SAMIEEE & 15 new members, joined after Symposium, yet to be registered

Summer Grant Program

Chapter Activities :

OUR MEGA EVENT. We got appreciation from NASA and SARA. Its news spread across

different IEEE sections of India. A Student Popularization event.

19 Student participated in IEEE MTTS Summer Grant Program, where they worked on:

•NASA Radio Jove

•Itty Bitty Telescope

•Stanford's SID Receiver

•Sky Fall Meteor Detection

*MTTS paid the partial Reimbursement to the teams for their Expenses

Industrial Visits & TRIPS

Chapter Activities :

Visit to Microwave Lab, IIT Delhi Visit to Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences

*these trips also played an important role in membership development & attracting interest of Students toward MTTS

We initiated a collaboration event plan with ASET MTT chapter, Organized at their place in 2013, to bring in new liveliness among their MTT volunteers.

INDUCTION TO MTTS: An annual convergence

*And we plan to hold this activity on yearly basis,

involving other student chapters form this year

onward

Introduction to STAR Program 9 Students from MSIT, visited Sunriseville Sr. Secondary

School, Noida on 2nd December 2013 . We conducted a

3 hour session, enhanced on “what is Engineering...” .The

session also included a talk on Working of GPS.

MICROWAVE SYMPOSIUM for UnderGraduates

Chapter Activities :

IEEE MTTS MSIT SBC Initiated this Event for Undergraduate engineering Students. It got quite well response from

Students as well as from speakers. There was a series of Talks by Dr. Ananjan Basu, Er. Adesh Kumar Jain, Dr. Karun

Rawat, Dr. Rashaunda Henderson. One day Non-Tech Activity for entertainment of Members was also organized ,

even few Organizing team Coordinators were taken for movie: “300 Returns” , a perk given to them. Symposium

resulted into increase of 15 new members.

* A Talk, A Trip to TCIL, New Delhi & Training on Signal Processing using MATLAB was postponed due to

Unavoidable Circumstances in last minutes. We will conduct these remaining parts, with some more add on, in August

Chapter Activities :

• We Organized a two week winter program for members to work upon elementary topics of RF and M/W domains.
