International Institute of Information Technology

Ranked no.1 on placement in the list of top technical schools in India by Dataquest for

2012 and 2011. In 2011 and 2012, IIIT Hyderabad was ranked

no.1 in Andhra Pradesh, by Careers360, a

magazine of the Outlook group. Deccan Chronicle ranked IIIT Hyderabad 2nd

in their 2012 survey of Top Engineering Colleges in South India.

The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) is an autonomous university founded in 1998. It was set up as a not-for-profit public private partnership (N-PPP) and is the first IIIT to be set up (under this model) in India.

Centre for Computational Natural Sciences and Bioinformatics (CCNSB)

Sub-areas : Chemical dynamics and quantum electronic structure analysis. Computational studies of structures, interactions and dynamics of biomolecules. Bioinformatics and systems biology: algorithm and database development for genomics, proteomics and metabolomics. Nanotechnology: Synthesis, characterization, surface modification and applications of nanomaterials. Theoretical studies in chemical, biological and material science for simulating equilibrium and non-equilibrium processes.

The ever increasing computational power and recent advances in computer science, in fields of distributed computing, networking, and database management, have inspired the centre to explore the application of these newer technologies and methods to understand the functioning of complex physical, chemical and biological systems.
