The suspension is now stiffer than stock, but plush enough to work well over rough chop and when entering corners under hard braking. We also really like how the Ride Engineering triple clamps help to enhance the han- dling characteristics of the bike. Stock, the RM-Z is already one of the best turning and handling machines of the class, but it is even further improved with the FC suspension mods and Ride Engineer- ing clamps. The bike can now be ridden harder into corners and still dives into deep ruts and doesn’t knife or push in flat corners. THE VERDICT Heading into this test, we weren’t sure what to expect. How could it be possible to find everything you need to turn a stock moto- cross bike into a fire-breathing machine all in one spot? As we discovered, it’s pretty easy. After spending some time in front of the computer and a few days of waiting for our parts to arrive, we were rewarded with a bike that is not only faster, but handles even better than stock. Not to mention, it also looks much cooler and garners a lot of attention at our local tracks.
