The Michael Scott Mater Foundation is a non-profit organization that creates opportunities for individuals and communities by providing financial resources, work-force training, cross-cultural exchanges, and sustainable solutions to real world challenges.

The Michael Scott Mater Foundation’s (MSMF) School4School (S4S) International Student Exchange Program is designed to bridge the gap between America and youth by enhancing the educational experience of students through cross-cultural exchanges.  S4S offers a unique approach that integrates sustain-ability platforms and volunteer opportunities into the traditional getaway which exposes the student and traveler to the true culture and traditions of Peru.

s4s   Students will experience the exhilaration of working with a unique community in need of help. Parque de la Papa is a community of potato farms set in the midst of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Plant trees, plant or harvest potatoes, and build homes out of indigenous materials while learning about this fascinating community and developing language skills.  Students will experience a different world and ancient language while helping the local population in the areas of economic development.

Students will have access to a Documentary 101 workshop that will cover interviewing, videography, editing, social media tools and techniques. Students will learn from seasoned documentary makers who will show them how to document their experience while traveling throughout Cusco and the Andes region.
