The Drass Emergency Generator is a modular unit, designed mainly to support the operation of the Drass 900 Series Modular Saturation System and 700 Series Modular Surface Diving System.The generator set is installed in a 20ft container holding DNV Certification.The start system is air-driven in order to avoid electrical battery maintenance and related potential safety issues.The Emergency Generator can be operated as a harbor auxiliary generator, making use of the complete diagnostic system which is not usually provided in a regular emergency generator. The Generator should be connected to a switchboard with at least one protection switch.In case of emergency the switch receive, from the system emergency switchboard, a signal activating in this way the generator.

Emergency GeneratorContainerization:

The module is equipped with a CATERPILLAR Generator, which provides all the reliability and safety features requested by the offshore standards.The main characteristics of the container for offshore and maritime use (option 1) are the following:

1.Containers comply with DNV 2.7-1, 2.7-2 & 2.7-3, the guidelines in IMO’s circular MSC/Circ. 860 and also with EN 12079 points 1 and 2 respectively.2.All Modules defined as “ Units for Transportation Offshore” are portable units with a maximum gross mass not exceeding 50,000kg. The modules are for repeated or single use with a primary service function, handled in open seas, to, from or between fixed and/or floating offshore installations and ships.3.The Modules are designed with top and bottom side & end rails, corner posts, pad eyes and fork lift pockets. They are load carrying and support frames and load carrying panels. At the very least they are supplied with a minimum of 2 Escape Doors, wall and roof panels, covers on skid, panel stiffeners and corrugations and internal securing points.4.All containers have a minimum of two Interface Panels for Hose connections and Electrical socket/plug connectors. The electrical signal connectors are IP68 and the power socket/plug are for marine use. Above 63 A all sockets have disconnection equipment. The containers have a Flammable Gas & Smoke Detection System and Ventilation / Conditioning System. 5.The containers have an Air Conditioning System.
