    A cruise aboard the MSC Sinfonia provides opportunities to

    visit beautiful Mozambique. With the exception of Maputo, the

    Mozambique destinations do not have harbour facilities, therefore the

    ship anchors offshore and passengers are ferried to land by zodiacs.

    REPOSITIONING CRUISES

    Southbound cruise - on the 23rd October 2010, the MSC Sinfonia

    sails from the por t of Genoa, this 17 night cruise affords guests the

    oppor tunity of visiting the exciting por ts of call such as Nice, Valencia,

    Casablanca, Agadir, Dakar and Walvis Bay, arriving in Cape Town on

    the 9th November 2010.

    Northbound cruise - on the 3rd May 2011, the MSC Sinfonia begins

    her 18 night return journey home . The homeward bound voyage again

    traverses the West Coast of Africa calling at the ports of Walvis Bay,

    St. Helena, Dakar, Tenerife, Funchal, Malaga and Rome, arriving inGenoa on the 21st May 2011.

    Maputo - the sprawling capital of Mozambique with an impressive

    skyline and a cosmopolitan Portuguese/African atmosphere, Maputo

    offers visitors shopping, markets, museums and restaurants serving the

    best prawns and peri peri chicken.

    MOZAMBIQUE ISLAND

    Portuguese Island- an uninhabited island of only 2,5 square kilometers

    is a protected reserve and home to countless birds, crabs and wide

    unspoiled beaches. Hidden lagoons and mangrove trees add to the magic

    of this beautiful destination. Our chef will prepare a beach barbeque for

    your delight, and you can quench your thirst at the MSC Sinfonias very

    own Island Bar. Try the snorkeling, beach volleyball, fishing and a fun ride

    in a Zodiac! Or simply lie back on the beach and relax! Alternatively join

    our conservation lecturer for a fascinating, educational walk around this

    MBARKATION

    On embarkation, passengers shouldfollow these steps:

    a) Deliver luggage to the designated staff, who willthen send directly to the passengers cabin. All bagsshould be labelled beforehand with the passengers

    name and surname, the name of the ship, the cabinnumber and the date and port of departure.

    b) Go to the check-in desk with cruise ticket andpassport.

    c) After the document check, passengers will receivea Cruise Card. This is a magnetic card used foronboard payment of excursions, bar bills, laundry,in-cabin service, hairdresser, beauty centre, duty-freeshops, photographer and service charge. To activate

    purchasing with the Cruise Card, passengers musteither register their credit card or leave a cash sum.Personal cheques are not accepted. The followingcredit cards can be registered onboard: Visa, VisaElectron, Mastercard, Diners, JCB and AmericanExpress.

    d) As a safety precaution, security staff may searcha passenger and/or his/her luggage and confiscateany articles that the Company considers could

    risk the safety of the passengers, crew or ship.On board, staff reserve the right to remove anybeverages present in passenger baggage. These willbe returned the evening before disembarkation.Passengers are not permitted to bring unpackagedfood on board.

    Insurance must be taken out with MSCCruises according to the conditions on

    pages 32-33. International airline baggage regulationssubject luggage to size and weight limitations; thenormal economy class allowance is 20kg . Airlinesreserve the right to charge a supplement for excessbaggage. MSC Cruises accepts no responsibility forissues arising during airport departure or arrival.Furthermore, valuable luggage travels at thepassengers own risk. Passengers are advised to carryany medicines, documents etc. in their hand luggage.

    AT AND MDICARQIRMNTS

    Passengers with physical or mentaldisabilities are referred to Clause Health ofPassenger of the Booking Conditions.The Passenger warrants that he is fit to travel bysea and by air and that his conduct or conditionwill not impair the safety or convenience of thevessels, aircraft and/or the other passengers. AnyPassenger with a condition that may affect fitness to travel must submit a doctors certificate prior tobooking. Without this certificate, boarding may beprohibited. Any specific transport and/or lodgingand/or assistance needs must be communicated atthe time the reservation is made, and are subject toavailability. Ships are not equipped with specializedrooms/equipment/medical assistance.Women who will reach the 23th week of pregnancyby the end of the cruise must, at the time ofembarkation, produce a medical certificate from adoctor confirming their fitness to travel on boarda cruise ship for the period of the cruise and for the actual itinerary. MSC Cruises is not in any wayresponsible for any consequence resulting from apassengers inability to travel, whether or not thisinability is evident. No refund or indemnity is owedto any passenger who cannot begin or continue thetrip due to their own inability.

    MDICA SRVIC

    All of our ships have a well-equippedMedical Center, supervised by a doctor

    and medical personnel. The Medical Center is openat the times advertised in the ships Daily Program.Emergency services are available around the clock bycalling the Medical Emergency number. While the range

    of medications held on board is comprehensive, theymay not satisfy your precise personal needs, and for thisreason, we always suggest that Guests carry a supply oftheir own prescribed medicines.Charges will be made on board for medical services.These charges are displayed in the Medical Center andwill be debited automatically to your Cruise Card.

    PARKING

    Car Parking is available only in Durban uponrequest. The fare of 75 Rand per night (valid

    RSTARANTS ANDBFFTS DINING

    Dining times are indicated in the DailyProgram.Breakfast is served in the ships restaurant and at theLido Buffet. Continental breakfast from Room Serviceis delivered to cabins on request on all morningsexcept the day of disembarkation. This service may berequested using the doorknob order form provided in

    the in-cabin directory or by calling the Reception desk.Lunch is served in the restaurants and at the Lido Buffet.Dinner is served in the restaurants in two sittings(preference to be indicated at booking time).All food, drink and related services not included in thecruise price shall be paid at the end of the cruise.A 15% service charge is already included and detailed in

    the final bill. No tips are therefore required for bar andrestaurant staff.

    SMOKING POIC

    MSC Cruises respects the needs anddesires of all guests, and we have given

    careful consideration to the preferences of both thosewho smoke and those who do not.In line with global standards, smoking areas are generally

    fewer than non-smoking areas, but smoking is freelypermitted in specified areas throughout the fleet(selected mainly on the basis of increased or modifiedair extraction).Smoking is not generally permitted in any food serviceareas (buffets and restaurants), medical centres, child-care areas, corridors or elevator foyers, areas whereguests are assembled in groups for safety exercises,disembarkation or tour departures, public toilets, or inbars directly near areas where food is served. Smokingin all cabins is highly discouraged, and because of the specific and proven risk of fire, smoking on cabinbalconies is not permitted at any time.Smoking is permitted in several bars on each ship, andon one side (indicated by signage) of the principaloutdoor pool deck areas, where ashtrays are provided.Guests are advised by the Cruise Director and in theShips Daily Program to avoid throwing cigarette butts

    over the side of the ship, where they could be blownback on board and start a fire.

    SOPS AND SRVICSON BOARD

    A vast selection of the best brands isavailable from the Duty & Tax free shops on board:clothing, beauty and perfume items, jewellery, film andphotographic equipment, glasses, suntan lotion, tobaccoand spirits, as well as a variety of products with the

    MSC logo.All ships have hair and beauty salons, a sauna andmassage suite, gym, laundry and photographic service.Prices are published on board.

    SNBDS

    Sunbeds are available at no charge topassengers.

    They cannot be booked, and guests are kindly requestednot to occupy deckchairs and sunbeds with personalitems during any long absences. Beach towels areavailable around the swimming pools. These should bereturned after use. Unreturned pool towels may becharged to the onboard accounts of guests.

    DAI PROGRAMEach evening a detailed program for thefollowing day will be delivered to your

    cabin. It contains full information on the activities andentertainment to be presented by the entertainmentstaff.

    NTRTAINMNT FOR KIDS

    We give special care and attention tochildren.

    Dedicated entertainment and activities are arranged forchildren from 3 years of age. Childrens programs areprinted daily and are available in the Childrens Center.Childrens entertainment is free and is organized intothree distinct age categories. Mini Club, for children from 3 to 6 years;

    Junior Club, for children from 7 to 12 years; Teenagers Club, for passengers from 13 to 17 years.As our ships vary in size and facilities, Childrensactivities are not restricted to the Childrens Center.All entertainment activities, both for younger guestsand adults, are conducted in different languages to caterfor all needs. When parents are on excursions ashore,the Mini Club will remain open, offering peace of mindfor parents. If parents are ashore or involved in otheractivities, the Childrens supervisors will also take theyoungsters to the buffet or the ships restaurant forchildrens meals (from a dedicated Childrens Menu).Parents are kindly asked to prevent their children fromroaming the ship unaccompanied. We do not offer ababy-sitting service.

    SOR xCRSIONS

    A full program of Shore Excursions isavailable to purchase on board.

    The excursions offered during the cruise are optionaland a charge is applicable. Excursions are chargeddirectly to your onboard account and final payment canbe made in cash, by credit card or by travellers cheque.Please note that:

    - Excursion itineraries and prices may be subject tochange due to cost variations and contingencieswithout prior notification by MSC Cruises.

    - An excursion takes place if the minimum number ofparticipants is reached. In the event that the minimumnumber of participants is not reached, the excursionmay be cancelled and money refunded. Someexcursions have a limited number of par ticipants.

    - Unless otherwise indicated, onshore excursions will be

    conducted by coach.- Passengers are requested to wear appropriate

    clothing for visits to religious sites (covered knees andshoulders, no low-cut tops).

    - Excursions including visits to archaeological sites, longsections on foot or hiking may not be suitable forpassengers with disabilities or walking difficulties. It isadvisable to check the feasibility of excursions beforebooking.

    - For Beach Tours, swimming towels and bathing suitsare advised.

    - Some archaeological sites, museums and places ofinterest charge supplements for the use of videos andcameras. These extras are not included in the price ofthe excursion; further details will be given on board.

    AIRPORT STT

    A reasonably priced shuttle service isavailable from Durban Airport direct to

    Durban Port and vice versa. The shuttle meets all flightson the Sinfonias cruise departure dates. This transfercan be booked at the time you make your cruisereservation.

    Should you wish to extend your holidayseither before or after your cruise, preferential

    rates are offered in Southern Sun properties. Simplyrequest your accommodation when making your cruisereservation.

    Drakensberg Express: Travel via theDrakensberg; spend 1 night at Sandford Park CountryHotel before continuing on to Durban the followingmorning. The return coach departs directly upondisembarkation for the transfer back to Gauteng/Tswane (short stop at Harrismith) OR Durban Express:Travel directly to Durban; spend 1 night at GardenCourt South beach (inclusive of Breakfast) before being transferred to the port to board the Sinfonia.
