MSBHSE: SSC Online Application - Operational Manual
The Board is starting Online Application Form Submission system for SSC
Examination. In view of the large no. of students The board had given Offline option
for the Jr. colleges where they fill the Forms on Standalone PC/PC‟s without internet
connection and the data can be subsequently uploaded by Online logging in. Institutes and Junior colleges who have a good quality and good speed internet
connection are recommended to use the application directly by logging in on board‟s
website by accessing the link http://mahahsscboard.gov.in. Such type of users will
be termed as Online Users.
The Institutes who should use Offline system: 1.The institutes which do not have a good quality and consistent internet connection.
2.The institute have large no. of student, want to fill the application form one or
more PC‟s which do not have internet connection. The board has provided default login and password in the introduction letter that has
been mailed to all institutes. The steps required to be able to begin entering
application forms for SSC exam are as below
Online Mode of Operation In the CD mailed to all institutes, there are separate folders for Online and Offline. In
the online folder, there are setup files. The application can be installed on any PC
with at least 1GB RAM and 100MB of free hard disk space. The recommended
operating system for installation is Win XP SP2 or higher. Double click the setup.exe
file on the CD to begin installing the programs for capturing the images. The
application will be installed in C:\imagecutter. The web browser required for this
application is Mozilla Firefox, The computers which do not have Mozilla Firefox can
be installed by Download from net or from the CD given to the institute. Image Cutter: The Board had provided very special tool for managing photo‟s and
signature‟s of the applicant. The institute can paste photo on template provided and
take signatures of the applicant, after scan and processing with immagecutter it
creates 9 applicants photo and signature with unique name. This image cutter
application is installed in C:\imagecutter and the template page for images and
signatures in pdf format located in the imagecutter folder. The detailed image cutting
process is given below.
Instructions For Image Cutter
1) Take Print out of Photo-Sheet template located in C:\imagecutter in pdf
file format as per requirement. In one sheet 9 Photograph can be
pasted and below photograph, space is available for signature of
respective student.
Example: For 200 student 200/9=22.22 means 23 Photo-sheet to be printed.
2) Write 3 digit Unique page Number on all Photo-Sheets.(Boxes are
given at right top

to 023 3) Paste Photograph of student exactly in the centre of the given boxes. 4) Take a signature of students below the photograph strictly inside the
boxes. 5) Scan the Photo-sheet with the name of Page Number given on the
photo-sheet.

Example: for 001 Image filename will be 001.jpg
6) After scanning copy image files of photo-sheets in „C:\imagecutter\ScanImages\‟
7) There is option in Image Cutter to cut the photo & signature page by
page or all pages at a time.
To cut page by page Click on ‘Process’

8) After processing, cut Photo will be saved in „C:\imagecutter\Photo\‟
with filename of Scanimagefilename_Seq.No._p.jpg Example: For 001.jpg, Cut photo will be save with 001_1_p.jpg, 001_2_p.jpg -- ----001_9_p.jpg
9) After processing, cut Sign will be saved in „C:\imagecutter\Sign\‟ with
filename of Scanimagefilename_Seq.No._s.jpg Example: For 001.jpg, Cut Sign will be save with 001_1_s.jpg, 001_2_s.jpg ----
--001_9_s.jpg.
Please Note:
1. The imagecutter process is specially provided by the Board for the
easing photo’s and signature’s uploading process as there are large
no. of students in many institutes.
2. The institute may use any other process for preparing and uploading
the photo’s and signature’s. if they fill suitable.
3. The size of the photo should not be more than 20k bytes and the size of
the signature should not be more than 10k bytes.
4. The names of photo’s and signature’s are automatically given by the
imagecutter in relation with page no. and serial no. Some institute may
want to rename it, they can rename it but in that case name should not
contain space.
Start the imaging application by double clicking following icon which is located on desktop. and a screen as shown below will be displayed.

Initial setting Double click on ‘Imagecutter icon’ will see screen as shown below. Select area of Photo (Sq.No.1 to 9) / Signature (Sq.No.1 to 9) by dragging mouse
on image. Click on button - <PHOTO-X> / <SIGN-X> respectively to save coordinate.

Once the images are prepared, the institute user can start using the online application by entering following link in a browser. “mahahsscboard.maharashtra.gov.in” After clicking on icon login page will open. Select the Division from the Division dropdown box. Choose the institute name from the drop-down and enter the provided login and password and click the Submit button.
Once the user has successfully logged in, he will be directed to institute‟s homepage called Dashboard. After login, the following Screen i.e. Institute homepage will be displayed. Details of each menu option are mentioned on next pages of this manual.
Institute Dashboard
Towards the top of the page the name of the Division, Institute,current session and the users identity will be displayed. Below this is „My Notifications‟ section in which instructions and communications made by the board particularly to your institute will be shown. Upon clicking the title of the notification the user can read the entire transcript of the message.
Under the „My Notifications section is „Circulars & General Notifications‟ section in which general purpose circulars created by the board for all institutes are displayed.
On first login you are recommended to enter your Institutes profile details using the link “Create / Edit Institute Profile”. The * indicates compulsory fields.
The user should update the postal address, Principal‟s mobile number and other details. In the institute profile page the Principal‟s email address specified will be used by default for all communication from board to the institute. The institute is expected to verify the count of students who appeared for SSC examination last year and specify the number of students appearing in current year.
If you wish to have more users, you can create additional user/s (Sub User). The additional user
names are predefined by the system based on your institute ID provided by board.
Create User-
User can fill Online form here and submit their all details:
1.School index no is read-only & it is retrieved from database.
2.Enter four digit application no serial which should be unique in the school (only numeric).

3. a) Enter the surname. b) Enter the first name. c) Enter the father‟s or husband‟s name. d) Enter the mother‟s name.
4.Enter the address along with 6 digit pin-code.
5.Enter candidate‟s date of birth.
6.Select gender of candidate.
7.Select candidate‟s religion if candidate belongs to minority category.
8. Select candidate‟s cast category
9. Select whether Candidate is handicapped or not.
10. Select Candidate‟s Medium of instruction.
11. a) Select whether student is fresh or repeater candidate. b) Select whether student is regular,private,isolated,class improvement candidate. c) Select whether student is allowed exemption or non_exempt. d) Select student category d (sub_stream).
e) Select whether student is foreigner or not.

1. Select the 1st language & language of answer code. 2. Select the 2nd language & language of answer code. 3. Select the 3rd language & language of answer code 4. Select mathematics & language of answer code. 5. Select science & techno & language of answer code. 6. Select social sciences 3 & language of answer code. 7. Select ict & language of answer code. 8. Select the optional subject 8 & language of answer code.
13.This text field is read-only & will show total no of exempted subjects that you have selected in language of answer code.
14. Enter last exam seat no if you have selected repeater category of candidate (if you are not
repeater then this text field will be read-only)
15.Enter enrollment no if you have selected private in category of candidate. (if you are not private candidate then this text field will be read-only).
After clicking preview button the application will check all the validations and then will show the preview page with alerts of errors if any.
If the application is correct and valid the user can proceed to save it by clicking the Save button
and the following page confirming the successful saving of application form is displayed next.
If any error on then Save button will be disable and message will be displayed on error box
The user can continue to enter the next student‟s application form by clicking the button
“Continue to Fill New Form” or can exit by clicking the button “Return Back to Dashboard”.
You can anytime view/search/print student information already entered, as displayed in following screen:
