A proper fit is tight enough so that kitty can’t pull it over her head, but loose enough so that youcan still fit two fingers underneath.

CollarBegin by joining thread with a sl st to collar as follows: Insert hook under collar, and catch slipknotin thread with hook; pull up loop. Then, working over the collar, yarn over and pull a loop throughloop on hook; sl st made. The thread is now attached to the collar. Slide the sl st down to one theplastic breakaway clasp.

Sc around the rest of the collar as follows: Insert hook under collar and draw up a loop. Yarn overand draw through both loops on hook; sc made. Continue single crocheting around collar untilentire collar is covered, leaving only the plastic breakaway clasp exposed. Finish off.

FlowersSew flower in desired position on collar. Sew one leaf each side of the flower.

Weave in all ends.
