Remember Me?
If you’re one of themillions of fans oftoday’s numeroustelevision talentshows, tip your hat toa pioneer in theindustry, Ed Sullivan.Sullivan hosted “TheEd Sullivan Show” fornearly 23 years, from1948 to 1971.
Sullivan’s showappealed to a broadaudience and multiplegenerations. Mostepisodes includedpuppets, pop stars, avaudeville act, comedians andsomeone fromthe theater.
Sullivan wasknown for booking“breakthrough” actsof would-besuperstars such asElvis Presley and, perhaps most notably,The Beatles.
