JAMMU, Mar 10: All J&KEstates Employees Association(Jammu province) has demand-ed reorganization of the depart-ment without any further delay.
While projecting demandsbefore the media, president ofEstates EmployeesAssociation, Prem Singh Bawasaid that they had been project-ing this demand since long. Hesaid the department was estab-lished in 1968 and the cadrereview was not held after 1973.There is need to go for reorga-nization of the department.
He demanded that DPC ofall categories with type test beconducted twice a year as peractual seniority list. For thelast nine years, no DPC wasconducted. He demanded thatpending salary arrears be paidto the daily rated workers witheffect from 2001 to 2011, SRO43 cases be settled immediate-ly and new recruitment rulesbe framed or old rules beamended.

UDHAMPUR, Mar 10:Fulfilling a long pendingdemand of residents of Goal(Tikri) area, MLA UdhampurPawan Kumar Gupta today kick-started the macadamization workof Tikri-Goal PMGSY road.
Pawan Gupta on the spotinstructed the officials of thedepartment concerned to alsoconstruct the side drains. TheMLA reiterated his commitmentfor development of the con-stituency as a model constituen-cy.
Earlier, locals said that this
road was blacktopped at the timeof its execution during thetenure of than MLA UdhampurLate Lala Shiv Charan Gupta.Since then the road was neverrepaired and no blacktoppingwas done with the result that itwas not possible to ply vehicleson it due to dilapidated conditionof this road.
On this occasion, XenPMGSY Udhampur, AEEPMGSY Udhampur, Raj KumarBucha, Rohit Sethi, Capt DeolRam, Krishan Singh, Sub BalbirSingh, Jalandher Singh, BalwanSingh, Nasib Singh, Shiv Kumarand others were present.

Ashok Gupta demanded that awhite paper should be issued clari-fying what exactly happened in themeeting of Tribal Affairs and whois the person responsible for modi-fying the minutes besides leaking itto the public. He supported thedemand of the agitating people ofHiranagar seeking a CBI probe inthe alleged murder case and alsodemanded deportation ofRohingyas and Bangladeshis fromJammu as they constituted a gravethreat to the Jammu's demographyand national security.

As per police spokesman, ateam from Bari BrahmanaPolice Station conducted raid inTeli Basti and arrested 10 gam-blers along with Rs 6500 stakemoney and playing cards.

Attempt to murder caseaccused arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Mar 10: Gangyalpolice under ‘OperationSanjeevani’ arrested an attemptto murder case accused alongwith heroin valuing Rs 1.50lakh.
As per police sources, onspecific information, a teamfrom Gangyal Police Station laida naka at Model Town during theintervening night of March 9and 10 and intercepted a motor-cycle bearing registration num-ber JKO2AF-2158, which wascoming from Bari Brahmanatowards Model town.
On seeing police cops, thebiker tried to escape, but thecops intercepted him after abrief chase.
During checking, policerecovered 15 grams of heroinvaluing Rs 1.50 lakh from thepossession of the biker andarrested him.
The accused has been identi-fied as Ranjit Singh Choudharyalias Rinku, son of Jasbir Singh,a resident of Model Town,Gangyal.
During questioning, the
accused revealed that he hadbrought the consignment fromPunjab for selling among theyouth and ruining the society inand around Jammu City.
The arrested person was afamous drug peddler of ModelTown, Gangyal and with hisarrest, police saved the future ofthe youth from becoming drugaddicts.
Moreover, a case under FIRNumber 62/17 under Section307, 382, 341 and 323 RPC and4/25 Arms Act stands registeredagainst the accused at PoliceStation Gandhi Nagar.
A fresh case under FIRNumber 20/18 under Section8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs andPsychotropic Substances(NDPS) Act has been registeredat Police Station Gangyal andinvestigation started.

DFSS demands CBI probeinto Kathua rape case

JAMMU, Mar 10: DograFront & Shiv Sena (DFSS)today held a protest demandinga CBI probe into the rape andmurder of a minor girl inKathua.
Scores of activists of DFSSunder the leadership of theirpresident, Ashok Gupta, assem-bled here in Jammu City andraised slogans against the Statepolice for harassing the innocentpeople of Kathua on the name ofinvestigation.
While addressing the protes-tors, Gupta extends his supportto the demand of the agitatingpeople of Hiranagar seeking aCBI probe in the alleged murdercase so that the real culprit ispunished and the innocents arenot harassed and tortured. "CBI
is an independent andautonomous agency and onlyprobe through this agency couldrestore peace in Kathua andSamba districts", he added.
Gupta also demanded depor-tation of Rohingyas andBangladeshis from Jammu, stat-ing that they constituted a gravethreat to the Jammu's demogra-phy and national security.
