Admission to CLR program is competitive. Students must fi rst seek admission to the UNCW Graduate School prior to applying to the degree program. Applications are due in February for the upcoming fall semester. Students with graduate work from other institutions must be in good standing at that institution to be eligible to take graduate work at UNCW.

Minimum Admission Requirements:

• B.A. or a B.S. degree, preferably in a life science, health care discipline, or mathematics/statistics from a regionally accredited program, completed with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and admission to the UNCW Graduate School.

ADMISSIONS

*Students may enroll in the capstone course after completing at least 27 credits, including all of the required core courses.

Graduates work in research teams in biopharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations, clinical research investigator sites, academic medical centers, government agencies and other associated organizations conducting

• Clinical trials necessary to move new drugs, biologics and biomedical devices through the regulatory process to reach regulatory approval;

• Post-marketing studies required for drug safety and used for label/market expansion.

WHERE WILL I WORK?

• All courses are online. Students may pursue the degree from any location.

• Faculty have extensive industry experience, including clinical operations, monitoring, research ethics, project management, pharmacotherapeutics, regulatory aff airs, medical writing, biostatistics, drug safety and pharmacoepidemiology.

• Two years of experience in clinical research is preferred. The CLR curriculum and policies are subject to review and change based on ongoing program evaluation and best practices in clinical research education.
