Causes

Britain and France had long been engaged in a battler to build a world empire (7 Years War in Europe, First World War in history!)

Competition will spill over to the New World. Acquiring colonies will become a priority for each.

French establish New France in the heart of the continent

French were not concerned about settling colonies so much as they were concerned with exploiting them for their natural resources.

In 1757, King George II decided that he wanted new leaders in America-appointed William Pitt to oversee military
