Welcome to Third Grade! Our goal is to prepare
our students to be confident and independent learners.
We believe children learn through stimulation, discovery, and application.
All About Mrs. Rone My background
I grew up in Kosciusko.I received my undergraduate degree from Mississippi State.
My experience I have been teaching for 10 years. I am a National Board certified teacher.
Subject Matter I will be teaching Language Arts.

• My experience I have been teaching for 14 years. This is my seventh year in Northside.

Class DojoClass Dojo is an online behavior program. Letters will be going home so you can access your child’s account and see how they are doing in class.

We are a Capturing Kids Hearts School.
Northisde is a Capturing Kids Hearts school. Students worked together to create our class’ social contract, and we have agreed to live by these words. Our mission is to win their hearts and lead them to their personal best.

different way than usual we MUST have a note.
If we do not have a note or an e-mail from you we have to send the child home their regular way.

Attendance It is very important to be in school every
day on time and ready to learn. We swap at 7:50 and have a lot of
material to cover. We are busy all day.
Absences• If your child is absent please contact the
office. • If the absence is excused your child will
receive their work on the day they return. • After being absent for three days, you
may request your child’s work. We will have it in the office for you in the afternoon.
Snacks Students may bring snacks to school
with a few exceptions. No candy. If you are going to bring an orange please have it
sliced before. No sunflower seeds or nuts that need to be shelled. If you are sending a fruit cup or pudding please
make sure to send a spoon.

Homework All homework assignments are due the
next day unless otherwise stated. Homework coupons – are for one night.
Turn in coupon and blank (or missing) homework the day it is due.
Homework will be given every night except Friday.

Reward System In order to participate in the behavior and
responsibility reward at the end of the nine weeks students cannot have more than 9 marks.
Nine weeks behavior and responsibility rewards – fun activity, movie, special snacks, etc.
In order to participate in the semester behavior reward students cannot have more than 10 behavior marks.

25. Car riders will go straight to the cafeteria. To eat breakfast students must be here by
7:30.
Fees• School fees are $50. If you have not
paid your fee please do so, or request a fee waiver.
• You will not receive your child’s report card unless you have been approved for a waiver or you fees are paid.
AR• Accelerated Reader is very important at Northside
and in our classrooms. Please encourage your child to read.
• When students finish their work they can get a book, on their level, and read quietly.
• Students will take STAR tests throughout the year to determine their reading levels and growth.
• We would like for students to get at least 2 points a week, and 18 points for each 9 weeks.
