Please return the registration form if you haven’t already done so. Reading..Students took their ‘Voices of the Revolution’ theme test today. We will begin a new theme tomorrow called ‘Person to Person’. The first story is called Mariah Keeps Cool, a story about a little girl who plans a birthday surprise for her sister Lynn. Students should also be reading at least 30 minutes at home on a daily basis. Homework...Many students are turning in homework that is either incomplete or done very poorly. Some students simply do not turn in work. Please make sure that you are checking your child’s homework daily. If he/she is completing the work incorrectly, this makes understanding very difficult. Remember, the education of a child is a school AND home responsibility. ...Students received their Topic 11 test today. We are now working on Topic 12, Perimeter and Area. Students will need a ruler at home to complete much of the work. Upcoming...Friday, February 8 - No school - School Improvement Monday, February 11 - Parent/Teacher Conferences - Only if requested Tuesday, February 12 - Lincoln’s Birthday - No school Revolutionary War Test... Students will take a test over the Revolutionary War next week. They will bring home a study guide. If students study the information on the guide, they should do very well on the test.
