1. Introduction

MRac Ground Terrace V (GT5) is a pre-assembled ground solar PV mounting

system, which is suitable for large-scale commercial or multi-purpose

installation. GT5 has been adapted for all sorts of PV module. The innovative

and distinctive Rail 105 of GT5 is more convenient and ensures a high accuracy

for installation. the high quality components and the pre-assemblility of GT5 will

save substantial installation time and cost when being applied in large scale

project。

Please read this Installation Guide thoroughly before installing the MRac Ground

Terrace V system. This manual details the installation instruction for GT5.

To meet the proper structural strength and relevant industrial standards, please

strictly carry out the installation according to the instruction of this guide.

During the installation, please conform to the relevant local safety code and

other specification. Please contact Mibet by [email protected] or the local

representatives in your area to confirm if your installation guide is the newest

version.

Please comply with following principles during installation:

Please conform to the applicable local or national building codes that may

supersede this manual;

Please ensure that MRac and other products are appropriate for the

certain installation and circumstances;

Please use the parts provided and the installation tools specified by Mibet

Energy (Mibet Energy shall not take any responsibility for any damage by

the substitution of parts from Mibet);

Recycle the mounting system according to local relevant regulations;

Uninstall the mounting system according to corresponding installation

steps;

Ensure that there are no less than two professional workers in panel

installation;

Ensure the installation of relative electrical equipment is carried out by

professional electrician;

3. Installation Guide

3.1 Installation of Mounting System

3.1.1

Locate piling point for

ground screws by stakes

and set out strings by

Laser Level according to

solution drawing.

Adjust the pile driver on

the staked spots to keep

it vertical to water level

by leveling instruments

or plummets before

piling the ground screws.

(Keep the centers of the

ground screws in same

elevation on vertical and

horizontal direction)

3.1.2

a. If the terrace of

installation site is with

slopes like picture 1,

reduce the depth of

piling ground screws or

using shorter ground

screws to keep all the

flange plates on the

same water level.

b. If the terrace of

installation site is with

slopes like picture 2,

increase the depth of

piling ground screws or

using longer ground

screws.

3.1.3

If rocks, trucks or other

barriers found

underground hinder the

piling work, the two

ground screws of

pre-assemble support

should move properly

horizontally to avoid

those barriers (the

allowed maximum

distance of two ground

screws is 4 meters). But

if the sizes of barriers are

too large, it is suggested

to dig out the barriers

first and then adopt

concrete base to replace

ground screws because

of the loosening of soil.

3.1.4

Fixed the T anchor plate

and T corrugated anchor

plate onto ground

screws by specified bolts

and adjust according to

solution drawing.

3.1.5

Unfold the pre-assemble

support of GT5

Connect the T connector

of pre-assemble support

to T anchor plate by the

M12*90 bolts (do not

fasten).

Connect the back

support and side support

to corrugated anchor

plate by the M12*90

bolts (do not fasten)

Note:

The mounting system

can be slightly adjusted

to avoid the deviation of

ground screw

(adjustable distance:

25mm horizontally,

30mm vertically)

The corrugated gasket

should apply to the

corrugated surface of

corrugated anchor plate

to avoid sliding of

support.

Fasten the all the bolts

after the fine adjustment

3.1.6

After finishing installing

pre-assembled supports,

the mounting system

shall be like the picture

on right side.

3.1.7

Install all other

pre-assembled supports

according to the arrays

of solution drawing. Use

Laser Level or nylon

cords to ensure that the

lower ends of all the

pre-assembled supports

are on same water level

and in line.

Adjust in anchor plates if

there is height

difference.

3.2 Installation of Rails

3.2.1

Install end clamps, inter

clamps and C clamps like

shown in the right

picture.

3.2.2

Please confirm the

required length of rail

105 before installing

those rails onto

supports.

If a rail is not long

enough, please connect

the rails by Rail 105

Splice.

4 tapping screws are

required on each side,

and 8 tapping screws are

required on both side.

It is not suggested to

connect rails on the

pre-assembled supports.

3.2.3

Mark a line between

beams and upper

surface of rails by the

marker according to the

size of solution drawing.

And mark lines along the

edge of rail on the beams

where to lay the rail and

on the rails.

3.2.4

Fasten all the rails 105

on beams by C clamps.

3.2.5

Install all the rails 105 as

last step.

3.2.6

Please confirm the

length of rails 45 before

install them onto rails

105. Mark a line between

the upper surface and

rail 105 according to the

size on the drawing.

And mark lines along the

edge of rail on the rail

105 where to lay the rail

45 and on the rails 45.

Install all other rails 45

according to planning on

drawing by above

mentioned method.

3.3 installation of Solar Panels

3.3.1

a. Same as the

installation of rails,

install the first panel

(lowest panel of first

column) by using the Jig

3 (to assist to install

panels) to put the panel

onto rail 45 according to

drawing. Confirm the

perpendicularity by the

try square. After

confirming the length of

the overhung rail

according to drawing,

fasten the end clamps

and inter clamps of the

first panel.

b. Put the second panel

(upper than first panel

on first column) close to

the first panel and fasten

it by end clamps and

inter clamps. If the

interval between two

panels is design to be

20mm, put inter clamps

between two panels until

finishing fastening of the

panel.

c. Install the third panel

(lowest panel of second

column) by using angle

aluminum as a jig

against first panel.

Ensure the lower edge of

the third panel are keep

in line with that of the

first panel, and then

fasten the third panel by

inter clamps.

d. Install all other panels

according to previous

steps.

3.3.2

Inspect and ensure all the

bolts are fastened after

finishing installation.

Put the end cap on all

rails and beams.

4、15 year limited Product Warranty, 5 year limited Finish Warranty

Mibet (Xiamen) New Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter as “Mibet Energy”) warrants to

the original purchaser (“NSEW Trading Pty Ltd.”) of products that it manufactures

(“Solar PV Mounting Systems”) at the original installation site that the Product shall

be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of fifteen (15) years,

except for the under normal atmospheric conditions for a period of five (5) years,

from the earlier of 1). The date the installation of the Product is completed, or 2). 30

days after the purchase of Product by the original Purchaser (“Finish Warranty”).

The Finish Warranty does not apply to any foreign residue deposited on the finish. All

installations in corrosive atmospheric conditions are excluded. The Finish Warranty is

VOID if the practices specified by AAMA 609 & 610-02 –“Cleaning and

Maintenance for Architecturally Finished Aluminum” (www.aamanet.org) are not

followed by Purchaser. This Warranty does not cover damage to the Product that

occurs during its shipment, storage, or installation.

This Warranty shall be VOID if installation of the Product is not performed in

accordance with Mibet’s written installation instructions, or if the Product has been

modified, repaired, or reworked in a manner not previously authorized by Mibet IN

WRITING, or if the Product is installed in an environment for which it was not

designed. Mibet shall not be liable for consequential, contingent or incidental

damages arising out of the use of the Product by Purchaser under any circumstances.

If within the specified Warranty periods the Product shall be reasonably proven to be

defective, then Mibet shall repair or replace the defective Product, or any part thereof,

in Mibet’s sole discretion. Such repair or replacement shall completely satisfy and

discharge all of Mibet’s liability with respect to this limited Warranty. Under no

circumstances shall Mibet be liable for special, indirect or consequential damages

arising out of or related to use by Purchaser of the Product.

In addition to our Warranty against Defects, the Frame also comes with guarantees

that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Consumer Guarantees).

In the event that the Frame fails to satisfy a Consumer Guarantee, you are entitled to a

replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably

foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the Frame repaired or

replaced if the Frame fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount

to a major failure. Please note that in addition to the rights and remedies set out in this

document, you may also have other rights and remedies available to you under the

law.

*Manufacturers of related items, such as PV modules and flashings, may provide

written warranties of their own. Mibet’s limited Warranty covers only its Product, and

not any related items.

Making a claim

If you believe that the Frame is defective and you are an End-User, you may either

make a claim against the installer or builder from whom you purchased the Frame or

you may make a claim against us directly. In order to make a claim against us, you

must post, fax or email us a notice, using the contact details set out below.

In your notice you must provide: details of why you believe the Frame is defective; a

copy of your invoice, receipt or any other document which provides proof of

purchase;

Details of any expenses you have incurred in making your claim; and details of how

we should contact you.

Within a reasonable time after receipt of your claim we will contact you to arrange a

time to attend the premises at which the Frame is located.

Jurisdiction

Our Warranty against Defects is to be construed in accordance with the laws of

Victoria and any disputes will be determined by the exclusive jurisdiction of the

courts of Victoria.
