    2. A box-shaped barge of uniform construction is 80 metres long and displaces 800 tonneswhen empty. It is divided by transverse bulkheads into four equal compartments.

    Cargo is loaded into each compartment and level stowed as follows:

    No. 1 hold 20 tonnes No. 2 hold 40 tonnes

    No. 3 hold 40 tonnes No. 4 hold 20 tonnes

    Construct Load and Shearing Force Diagrams, before calculating the Bending Moments atthe bulkheads and the position of maximum value; hence draw the bending moment diagram.

    the drafts forward and aft after bilging.

    drafts and GM if the displacement is 12,400tonnes, initial GM is 0.2m, MCTC 140, TPC 18,KM 7.15m, LCF at amidships.
