Where You go, I’ll go Over the past two years I have been able to go to love on the poor and learn my own poverty in multiple countries: Haiti, Burkina Faso, the Philippines, the Bronx. What began as a staccato series of seemingly random trips has turned into an accelerating rhythm of His heart in mine; I am compelled to go where He leads me. So the next place I feel called to step is along the eastern coast of the African continent, the country of Mozambique.

Serving Orphans in Pemba “Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow.” Isaiah 1:17. Most of my time in Mozambique will be spent in the company of orphans who have been given a home, and who are loved, cared for, nurtured, and are being taught their true identity as sons and daughters of God!

What will I be doing in short?

- ministering to, holding, & playing with children

- praying for adults & children in need

- getting my hands dirty scrubbing big metal cooking pots !

- singing worship songs & singing while I serve

- possibly going on outreach to villages in the bush

- washing feet & taking bucket baths

Iris Ministries will be my home away from home for two weeks, where I will live in close community with other missionaries from around the world in a missions base that is also home to children who have been taken in to the Iris family.
