MOYA, “The GreenVillage”, is in the northof Gran Canaria(Spain).

Hello, there! And nice to meet

you!In Spanish we say: “Hola” for 

hello” What about you?

We want to introduce ourselves.

We are the 6th level class. We are

eleven and twelve years old and we

study in Carretería School, inMoya (Gran Canaria).

The Canary Islands are in theAtlantic Ocean. We are anarchipielago, a very special place

with seven islands.We are really far away.

We live in MOYA and we want toinvite you to LOVE OUR TOWN:

“The Green Village”.

This is our country.

We are seven islandsand seven islets and

we belong to theprovince of Las Palmas,

in Gran Canaria.

This is the only regionwith two provinces in

Spain.

 And our town is Moya.We are one of thefarthest points of

to know where we areWe are really near Africa in front of 

Morocco.

We´ve got a strategic position in the way

between America, Africa and Europe.

one is Santa Cruz de

Tenerife.

Here we are threedifferent islands: Gran

Canaria (where we live);

Fuerteventura &

Lanzarote.

We are an important

important tourist reference

in Europe.

Nice climate, wonderfulbeaches, quiet and kind

people.

In Gran Canaria we are 17 towns and thecapital is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Don´t make confussions between our 

province and our capital. Okay?
