MOVEMBER.COMMOVEMBER IS A WEB-BASED CAMPAIGN THAT UTILIZES NEW MEDIA.The website is the Movember hub of activity and is where the registrations and the majority of donations take place. It allows the Movember community to connect with each other, share news, experiences and learn about what’s going on with Movember in their respective countries and around the world.

FELLOW CIT IZENS OF MOVEMBERWELL KNOWN PARTICIPANTS OF MOVEMBER INCLUDE:Several NHL Players (211 in all), actress Malin Akerman, Nick Swisher and the New York Yankees and Mr. T, just to name some of many.

MOVEMBER MEDIA COVERAGEMOVEMBER DOES NOT RUN EXCLUSIVE MEDIA PARTNERSHIPS;However, we continue to gain growing support across all media platforms. Notably, the NBC Today Show, The Wall Street Journal, People Magazine and ESPN.

MEN’S HEALTH: THE D ILEMMAMEN OFTEN AVOID VISITING WITH THEIR PHYSICIANS AND COMMUNICATING ABOUT THEIR HEALTH, ESPECIALLY WHEN SOMETHING COULD BE WRONG.

The stereotypical but common go-it-alone approach often eliminates the chance of early detection and effective treatment of many common diseases and health issues. Movember raises awareness of the health risks men face with the goal of removing stigmas, allowing men to proactively manage their health. The men’s health movement is 30 years behind that of women’s health. To close the gap, much progress must be made.

MO SISTAS: MOVEMBER ISN ’T JUST FOR MENTHE THOUSANDS OF MO SISTAS WHO TAKE PART IN MOVEMBER EVERY YEAR ARE A VITAL PART OF THE MOVEMBER MOVEMENT, AND ARE CRITICAL TO THE SUCCESS OF EACH CAMPAIGN.

Mo Sistas share equal responsibility with Mo Bros in spreading awareness of men’s health issues by generating conversation about Movember and the health risks that men face. Mo Sistas also share the opportunity to exercise their creativity in putting together fundraising and awareness events throughout the month of Movember. Mo Sistas play an important role in supporting their fellow Mo Bros as they struggle with the trials and tribulations of growing a Mo. They keep spirits high, stride proudly arm in arm with their Mo Bros, and make sure everyone is keeping their Mo well-groomed and looking neat.

THE MOVEMBER JOURNEY: L AUNCH EVENTS & MOVEMBER GAL A PARTESKICK OFF THE MOVEMBER CAMPAIGN WITH A FESTIVE TOUCH! HOST A REGISTRATION EVENT ALMOST ANYWHERE, AT WORK, SCHOOL OR ORGANIZE A LAUNCH PARTY AT THE LOCAL WATERING HOLE.

Whichever type of event you choose, the idea is to get everyone fired up to grow and show their Mo this Movember. The last grand hurrah of every Movember campaign, the Galas are a way of saying thank you and congratulations to the Mo Bros and Mo Sistas as they wrap up their Movember journey. The galas are also the battleground where Mo Bros (dressed to suit their Mo) and Mo Sistas (dressed to suit their Mo Bro) vie to be crowned the Man of Movember and Miss Movember.

THE MOVEMBER GAL A PARTE EXPERIENCEIN 2010, MOVEMBER HOSTED 12 OFFICIAL GALAS IN ATLANTA, AUSTIN, BOSTON, CHICAGO, DENVER, LOS ANGELES, MINNEAPOLIS, NEW YORK, SAN DIEGO, SAN FRANCISCO, SEATTLE AND WASHINGTON D.C.

Each party has its own Ultimate Mo, Best Mo in Character, Mo Bro/Mo Sista Combo, Team Mo, Miss Movember and of course, Man of Movember. Over 8,500 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas across the US joined us to help pick the Men and Women of Movember. Additionally, there were thousands of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas who hosted their own end of month celebrations in their offices, local bars, campuses and clubs (1,500 official party packs distributed).
