College and community come together
The Mount: Leading by example, caring for others and innovating for a better future
Our students say that the Mount is more than a private four-year college in a scenic location. You’ll find the College’s true value in things you may not see at first, like the caring community, or the traditions of academic excellence, leadership, and service. You’ll find it in students’ awareness of a global community, and in their innovative methods as they research, intern, study abroad, and experience tremendous personal growth.
What brings out the best in you?

EXPLOREStep outside your comfort zone. Go someplace you’ve never been. Mount students tend to be individualists. In a close-knit commu-nity of scholars and leaders who encourage our students to shine, they inevitably do.
Study abroad opportunities place the student-next-door at Oxford University, reading Shakespeare with a tutor, or in the wilds of New Zealand, exploring biodiversity. Our nursing students visit the Dominican Republic to bring medical supplies and provide assistance in clinics. It’s all out there for you to explore.
Try something new
BE CREATIVEThe MSMC Creative Campus is thriving. Try your hand at improvisa-tional theater. Make a video. Write, paint, draw, or photograph for the literary magazine. Start a student blog. Manage the newspaper’s web-site, or cover college sports. Start a radio show. It’s your experience.

Strong academic and pre-professional programs, combined with faculty and internship support and leadership opportunities, offer Mount students more than a degree. They graduate with skills and confidence gained through a multi-dimensional college experience, and a professional edge that employers notice.
