Marketing and Partnerships Officer
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Marketing and Partnerships Officer is a key role within MWA. As a valued member of the organisation, this busy, hands on role will drive participation, engagement and commercial outcomes by executing innovative brand and communications activities. The role will lead our sponsor relationships and take our brand and digital platforms to the next level.
To be successful in this role, you will have a university degree within a relevant field or have had experience within a similar job role. You have a strong desire to take the next step up in your career. You are a skilled communicator and build rapport with people easily. You thrive on dynamic, fast paced environments, have an eye for detail, you enjoy being part of teams and strive for excellence in everything you do.
The role will be based in our Maylands office. It will initially be a 12 hour a week position that can be split over 2 or 3 days per week. There is potential to expand the role. There is flexibility in the hours for stay at home parents or university students. The rate of pay will be discussed with successful interviewees.
Job Description
Brand and Communications
Manages the MWA brand including developing and coordinating processes to ensure consistency in its application.
Manages all MWA’s newsletters including planning and writing content.
Manages all MWA’s social media platforms.
Manages all marketing relationships.
Plans and MWA’s campaign and communications calendar.
Manages the content processes for the MWA website.
Marketing
Develops, in consultation with the Operations Manager, individual marketing plans for key MWA programs and events.
Manage MWA’S digital advertising asset inventory including website, email and social media advertising scheduling and delivery.
Is an active contributor to all relevant working groups.
Sponsor Servicing
Creates sponsorship leads for MWA.
Builds and maintains positive and constructive relationships with all MWA sponsors.
Proactively identifies add value opportunities for sponsors to grow their return on investment annually.
Maintains a sponsor activation schedule for each sponsor that tracks all contracted and add value opportunities throughout the year.
Manages, in collaboration with the Operations Manager the end of year reporting process for all sponsors, including developing reports and presentations.
General
Proactively identifies opportunities for MWA to improve its activities across its brand, communications, marketing, events and sponsor programs to grow our reach and engagement.
Supports the Operations Manager with administration where required.
Essential Requirements
National Police Check
Drivers Licence
The equivalent of two to three years of experience in a marketing or communication role (should the applicant not have or not working towards a University degree). 3 or 4th year students are encouraged to apply.
Desirable Criteria
Sports sector experience
Experience working clubs and events.
An understand of our sports is not essential but maybe viewed as a benefit.
