COURSE TO TAKE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN M1 LICENCE: Three-hour Introduction to Motorcycle Riding course –Decide if riding is for you. No licence required.
COURSES TO TAKE IF YOU HAVE AN M1 LICENCE:Motorcycle Training Basic course (M1 Exit course) – Obtain your M2 licence. Three Extra – Fine Tune Your Riding Skills – Unsuccessful on the M1 Exit course and need a bit more practise, or has it been a while since you’ve been on two wheels and need a quick refresher? Also ideal for licensed riders who have not been actively riding and want to gain some confidence.
COURSES TO TAKE IF YOU HAVE AN M2 LICENCE:Gearing Up Refresher – While waiting out snowy winter conditions your confidence in your recently learned riding skills has diminished. Obtain a certificate that can help lower your insurance premiums!Enhance Your Riding – Two levels of classes, slow speed manoeuvres and high speed braking and cornering exercises.
M2 Exit – You’ve waited the 22 months (18 months if you took the M1 Exit course with us) and are ready to get your full M licence. Experienced Rider Course – Learn advanced tips and techniques and own the road!

WHAT COURSE IS RIGHT FOR ME? WHAT COURSE DO I TAKE FIRST?
MOTORCYCLE TRAINING BASIC (M1 EXIT) DRVR 0003FEE: $489
This 19-hour course includes both classroom and on-the-bike segments; motorcycles are provided. Individuals successfully completing all instruction and the final test (M1 Exit) will be eligible to receive an M2 licence. To register for this course, you must:• Be 16 years of age or older• Possess and have available a valid Ontario Ministry of
Transportation Class M1 permit
MANDATORY RIDING GEAR IS REQUIRED:
• DOT-approved helmet• Heavy, long-sleeve jacket• Long pants (jeans)• Gloves• Low-heeled boots that cover the ankle
RATIOS:
• One student per motorcycle• Five students per instructor
BASIC SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN:
Balancing, braking, cold starting, stopping, moving off and stopping, correct gear changing, signalling and shoulder checking, slow-riding and pattern riding.
ADVANCED SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN:
Traffic behaviour, collision avoidance, introduction to decision-making, emergency braking and dealing with obstacles.
Weekends All courses are held Friday, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Evenings All courses are Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Weekdays All courses are Friday, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and two weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This Canada Safety Council course is the only national motorcycle rider training program. It has developed an enviable reputation both in Canada and internationally for its excellence in course curriculum and delivery.

THREE-HOUR INTRODUCTION TO MOTORCYCLE RIDING DRVR 0024FEE: $149
HOURS: 5 to 8 p.m.
Not sure if motorcycling is for you? In this course, participants are taught the very basics of operating a motorcycle. You learn balancing, braking, and slow speed control. Note: This session does NOT replace the basic course. Price includes use of Georgian College motorcycles. There is no certificate offered.
M1 licence is NOT required.
Students must provide and wear full riding gear.

THREE EXTRA – FINE TUNE YOUR RIDING SKILLS DRVR 0034FEE: $139
Ride in our lot, on our training motorcycles, with instructor coaching. This session is ideal for those who were unsuccessful on their M1 Exit skills evaluation who need to practise riding. It is also ideal for licensed riders who have not been actively riding and want to gain some confidence. Full riding equipment is required.
Students taking this course can possess a M1, M2 or M licence.
TRY DIFFERENT STYLES OF BIKES!Every second Thursday evening in Barrie: 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., starting April 21.

M2 EXIT DRVR 0004FEE: $419
Upgrade to the full M licence. This 12-hour program is designed to prepare students for their final motorcycle riding skills or M2 Exit test. The program consists of three segments: Classroom portion, a range or parking lot portion, and a road or street portion.
Students will be given the M2 Exit Road Test by Ministry of Transportation-certified instructors.
Students must:
• Provide a motorcycle capable of reaching highway speeds• Have a valid M2 licence for a minimum of 22 months (or 18 months if successfully completed at a recognized motorcycle training program)• Bring a copy of current insurance certificate• Provide and wear full riding gear
Become a better rider with our 12-hour program, which is designed to build confidence and prepare students for their final motorcycle riding skills test through:• In-class theory• Riding in a controlled lot environment• On-road training

ENHANCE YOUR RIDINGInvest in your skill development with our three-hour training sessions on your own motorcycle.
RIDER DEVELOPMENT PHASE 1Concentrate on slow speed manoeuvres that are essential to building confidence.

HOURS: 8:30 a.m. to noon
RIDER DEVELOPMENT PHASE 2Concentrate on high speed braking and cornering exercises.
FEE: $75
HOURS: 1 to 4:30 p.m.
Full riding equipment is required. Minimum M2 licence.
EXPERIENCED RIDER COURSETake your riding to a new level with our Experienced Rider course. Learn advanced tips and techniques that will help you own the road. For those with riding experience, the five-hour course includes on-bike exercises on a closed course as well as a review of safety elements.
Upon successful completion, receive a Georgian College certificate of attendance.
FEES: $130
HOURS: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
REQUIREMENTSStudents must hold an M2 or M licence (or equivalent), and provide a properly licensed and insured roadworthy motorcycle. Course participation pending proof of licence, insurance, and bike inspection.

HOURS: 8 hours (two hours in classroom, six hours of
on-bike instruction)
PROGRAM PREREQUISITES
• Students must hold an M or M2 licence with riding
experience
• Demonstrate entry-level riding ability
• If using a personally owned motorcycle for the program, it
must be licensed and insured, street legal and pass
a pre-ride safety inspection
FRESHEN UP YOUR SKILLS!
Students who successfully complete this program receive a Canada Safety Council refresher course certificate which may have a beneficial affect on their insurance premiums.
