The Russian Canoe Federation is pleased to invite you to take part at the
2020 ECA Junior & U23 Canoe Sprint European Сhampionships
It is a great honor for us to host young but already the strongest European paddlers. Exactly 10 years ago, we held the same competitions for the first time, in which the nowadays famous athletes took part and took their first steps to the Olympic peaks: DOSTAL Josef, FUKSA Martin from the Czech Republic, Tom LIEBSCHER, Max RENDSCHMIDT from Germany, Teresa PORTELA and Fernando PIMENTA from Portugal, Maryna PALTARAN, Aleh YURENIA, Volga KHUDZENKA from Belarus, Tomasz KACZOR from Poland and others. We hope that again the upcoming European Championship will become for many young participants a launching pad on the way to future medals of the Olympic Games 2024-2028. Over the past 10 years, the Krylatskoye Regatta Course has changed a lot: a major reconstruction of the sports complex has been carried out: new modern finish and start towers have been built, water passages have been laid for a convenient approach to the start at 500m and 1000m connecting the racing and training channels, a new electronic indicator panel has been installed , a television monorail was laid at the last 200 finishing meters of the distance, the old building of the boathouses was renovated and a new one was built. We are very grateful to the Government of Moscow for the rendered help and support in development of our sport. On the Krylatskoye Regatta Course such competitions were held as: • 1980 - XXII Olympic Games • 2009 - ICF Junior & U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships • 2010 - ECA Junior & U23 Canoe Sprint European Championship • 2012 - ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup • 2014 -ICF Canoe Sprint & Paracanoe World Championships • 2016 - ECA Canoe Sprint & Paracanoe European Championships • 2016 - ICF Dragon Boat World Championships • 2019 - ECA Dragon Boat European Championships The organization and holding of these competitions was highly appreciated not only by the participants, but also by highly professional specialists. The Russian Canoe Federation together with the Organizing Committee of the European Championship will try to do everything possible so that you have the most vivid impressions of the competition, and you would like to return here again. ◙ Each National Federation may enter only one crew per event.
♦ COURSE
The Moscow canal is 2340 m long. It has two water channels: the basic – 125 m wide with
9 lanes of Albano system, and for warm up – 75 m wide. The deep of both of them is 3 m.
There are two connecting water-ways between the basic and warm up courses for the going
up to start - on the marks 600 m and 1100 m. Start lines are equipped with the IMAS
automatic start system.

We kindly ask you to keep the mentioned deadlines for sending the entries and information,
as it will greatly help us in the preparations of accommodation and food for all the
participants of our event as well as the preparation and timely delivery of accreditation
cards and the competition’s program to all the team leaders.
Accreditation cards will be prepared on base of information inserted by NFs via ICF SDP
system and will be transferred to the team leader after settlement of all financial issues.
To check the age of participants and not to spend time on this during accreditation, we recommend you to send copies of athletes' passports in advance - before team's arrival - to address: [email protected]. The country name should be indicated in the subject of the letter.
Accreditation Centre will be located on the venue – on the left side from the Central
Entrance of the Administrative building.

All participants (athletes, coaches, team staff) have to pay a participation fee of 30,00 EUR
per person per day. It is paid from day of participant's arrival (no earlier than June 29,
2020) till the departure date (no later than July 6, 2020).
The Participation fee includes the following services:
Accreditation
Shuttle buses between hotels and venue ;
Lunch at the venue;
Security service at the course;
Medical service at the course;
Using of the regatta course and its facilities for training;
Mineral water during the access period;
Free WiFi Internet for teams at the competition venue.
In case if hotel is booked independently, instead of through Organizing Committee, then it is impossible to organize the bus between the Venue and booked hotel. It will not be the basis for the reduction of participation fee, it will be the same – 30,00 euros per person per day.
◙ PLEASE NOTE: the Participation fee is NOT included in the hotel prices. It should be paid separately. Payment details will be informed later.
♦ TRANSFER AIRPORT – HOTEL - AIRPORT
Transfer from/to Airport is NOT included in the Participation Fee.
The transfer between airports or railway stations to hotels offered by Orgcommittee and
back is available for € 40,0 per person. Please send your Travel Info Form to book the
airport transfer not later than June 1, 2020 to the LOC ([email protected])
and specify the extra size of your luggage (paddles, etc).
♦ SHUTTLE BUSES
During the competition period from June 29 to July 5, 2020, buses will run between
official hotels and the competition venue according to the approved schedule.
◙ PLEASE NOTE: This service will not be available to teams booking the hotel on their own (not through the Organizing Committee).

It takes about 10 minutes by foot to Krylatskoye Regatta Course.
The hotel is located in the picturesque area of the Krylatskoye sports complex. There are
a TV, fridge and a bathroom in the rooms. Rooms of the raised comfort are supplied by a
central air of air. There is a bar in the lobby. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. The hotel offers
free parking. Upon request, guests can use the shuttle service to Molodezhnaya and
Krylatskoye metro stations (10 minutes drive).

Please keep in mind that because of limited availability of rooms in Voyage Park Hotel,

Lunches are included in the Participation fee and will be organized by the Orgcommittee on the Venue.

♦ WAYS AND TERMS OF PAYMENT
Payment of the booked hotel can be made by means of:
• Bank remittance – in EURO or USD only;
• payment by cash (in Rubles) or credit cards during the accreditation (American-
Express and Dinners Club won’t be accepted).
If you prefer payment by bank remittance you should request the invoice before June 1,
2020 and you should pay 100 % of the sum within 2 days after receiving of the
invoice.
Please do not forget that all bank charges are to the expense of the remitter.

♦ CANCELATION OF THE BOOKED ACCOMMODATION
If you cancel the booking till June 01, 2020
● no deduction will be made from you
For cancellation of booking after June 01, 2020
● you should pay 100% sum for the period that you've reserved before (all period that you’ve booked for all persons)
The Organization Committee does not take any responsibility for any extra services of the
hotels like mini bar, telephone, parking, etc. These costs are directly collected by the hotel.
The rooms are to vacate till 12:00 a.m. on the day of the departure – as it is internationally
usual.

♦ BOAT RENTAL
The Organizing Committee has a limited of boats to rent. You are kindly requested to
send your needs till March 20, 2020. Priority will be given to those countries that give us
prior notice of their need for boats.
Note: The new models 2019 are not available.
The boat rental prices are as follows: K-1 and C-1 K-2 and C-2 K-4 and C-4

♦ BOAT TRANSPORTATION
Based on the previous experience we understand how it is important to deliver boats in time. Like earlier there will be two ways of boat transportation to Moscow: 1 - independent boats transportation by National Federations
Please contact your Chamber of Commerce or Customs Office to obtain the precise information regarding the documents necessary for boat transportation. If you feel any difficulty in boats transportation, please, do not hesitate and contact us. The Organizing Committee will do the utmost to help you with the decision of your problems. In the near future we shall inform you the detailed information where and how to pass border of the Customs Union.

Timetable to send the boats to Moscow All boats which have to be sent to Moscow from Kassel (GER) will be loaded on June 22, 2020 in Kassel. Boats can be delivered to Kassel any date before this date. Storage is free of charge. Boats will be ready to use in Moscow Venue latest from June 28, 2020 till end of competition on July 5, 2020 After July 11, 2020 the boats can be collected in Germany. As well as they offer safe storage for your boats until pick up or delivery.
For Custom Reasons all Boats have to return in the same Containers / Trailers back to
Germany.

♦ SPECIAL FACILITATED RUSSIAN VISA PROCEDURE
The Russian Foreign Ministry will approve a special facilitated visa procedure for all categories of participants of the 2020 ECA Junior & U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships, i.e. athletes, members of the official delegations, International Technical Officials, ECA Family members and official guests, as well as media representatives.
All the Russian Consulates throughout the Europe will be notified of the above procedure. According to it the visas are to be issued on a priority basis, i.e. within three days from the date of application (or on the same day if necessary) at any Russian Consulate regardless of citizenship.
In this case after processing the personal data submitted to the LOC in a special EXCEL form, a scanned invitation letter will be issued and sent to the applicant(s). It is to be submitted to any Russian Consulate or its authorized Visa Handling Service Centre regardless of citizenship along with other personal documents (such as passport, the necessary number of pictures, completed application form, etc.) for visa processing in person or by a representative.
Some consulates of the Russian Federation accept postal applications. Though there is a
number of consulates, where personal attendance is required for fingerprints.
All details are to be checked on the consular website in advance.
♦ TO RECEIVE INVITATION LETTER FROM ORGCOMMITTEE
A special EXEL form with personal data of members of delegations should be sent to the organizing committee ([email protected]) no later than June 1, 2020 The copies of passports valid not less than 6 months from the date of entrance should be enclosed.
A minimum of sixteen (16) in-competition doping tests (eight (8) for juniors and eight
(8) for U23) according to the ECA In-competition Testing Norm will be collected
The samples will be examined by an official laboratory accredited by the WADA and
located outside of the Russian Federation.

♦ INSURANCE
All official participants of the European Championships are strongly advised to take out
a medical insurance policy in their respective countries.
♦ MEDICAL CARE
The following medical services are available for all official participants of the 2020 ECA
Junior & U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships: physician on duty, hospital and
clinic assistance.
A medical center will operate at the regatta course with ambulance and first aid.
The costs above the regular first aid, ambulance services are to be covered by your medical insurance policy. The Organization Committee does not take responsibility for hospital treatment, dental treatment or any other medical treatment.
