We beat Ovid-elsie for the first time in 7 years on Tuesday!!!!

We also beat Webberville

How to play volleyball

Step 1. Picking teams

Must have six players on the court unless you are playing just with some friends

Must have 2 rows of people if you are playing a competitive game

3 players in each row

• Step 2 scoring

Each game goes up to 25 except in the 3rd

game that game only goes up to 15Example Team 1 Team 2

• Step 3. Positioning

THERE ARE 5 MAIN POSITIONS

• SETTER- THE SETTER SETS THE BALL SO THEIR TEAM CAN SPIKE IT

• OUTSIDE- THE OUTSIDE STANDS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE COURT AND SPIKES THE BALL

• MIDDLE- THE MIDDLE BLOCKS THE HITS AND ALSO SPIKES THE BALL

• BACKSIDE- USUALLY THE BACKSIDE IS THE SETTER BUT THEY CAN SPIKE THE BALL BUT IT IS VERY HARD TO HIIT FROM THAT POSITION

• LIBERO- LIBERO CAN ONLY PLAY IN THE BACK ROW AND ARE USUALLY THE BEST AT GETTING DIGS AND DIVING, THE LIBERO CAN ONLY SERVE FOR ONE PERSON EACH GAME.

• Step 4. Serving the ball

Overhand serving

Serving the ball is very easy all you do is throw the ball up in the air and hit it over the net like a spike but harder ,

Underhand serving

, or you can underhand serve it which is when you hold the ball in your hand and you make a fist

• Step 5. how to set

This is how to set a ball. First thing you do is make a diamond with your hands, you only set the ball if it is over your head. When the ball comes to you the you take your pointer fingers and your thumbs and push the ball up in the air.

• Step 6. How to bump the ball

This is how you bump a volleyball. First you take your hands and lay them flatly across each other to make an x and fold your thumbs into it.

• Step 7. How to spike the ball

THIS IS HOW TO SPIKE THE BALL. FIRST YOU TAKE 2 RUNNING STEPS THEN YOU JUMP UP IN THE AIR WHEN THE BALL IS AT ITS HIGHEST POINT AND HIT IT AT THE GROUND ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE NET.

• Step 8. How to block

When you block you want to jump up as high as you can with your hands put side by side and try to stop the other side from spiking the ball at your team by putting your hands in front of the ball.

• Step 9. How to dig (dive)

When the ball is close to the floor you put your hands out like you are going to bump the ball and you slide across the floor to get under the ball then you roll so you don’t hurt yourself as much.
