Aït Benhaddou is a fortified city, or ksar, along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech in present-day Morocco. It is situated in Souss-Massa-Drâa on a hill along the Ounila River and is known for its kasbahs, although they take damage with each rainstorm. Most of the town's inhabitants now live in a more modern village at the other side of the river; however, eight families still live within the ksar.

 

Aït Benhaddou has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987[1] and several films have been shot there

Ouzoud waterfalls are located at 180 km from Marrakech in the Middle Atlas. One of the best and most selected day trips departing from Marrakech, and a popular site for Moroccans in summer after 3 hours drive from Marrakech we will reach the highest waterfalls in Morocco, as we will have a walk around the falls. Here you have the possibility to ride a local boat to cross the river, or a trek for 2 hours to get to the source of ouzoud waterfalls. Enjoy a delicious local meal in one of the restaurants of Ouzoud cascades.

Essaouira, the charming small town andold Portuguese city, formerly known as Mogador is located 180 km from Marrakech. It was fortified by a French Architecture a pupil of Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban. These influences and many others gave a result very unique and attractive. Today, the city is gradually becoming a city of artists. Essaouira has a very favourable microclimate which gives it a mild winter and fresh summer. Essaouira offer a wide range of objects from memory he small pieces of furniture, works of art.

Merzouga is a small village at the border of one of the two big saharan ergs of Morocco, erg Chebbi. (Erg is a vast area of sand desert and dunes, when reg is used to speak about a rocky desert). A tall ochre arch marks the entrance, and a straight roads leeds directly to the dunes. The athmosphere reminds a little bit of Italo western, with the streets under a radiant heat...

Over a surface of nearly 100 square kilometres, dunes suceed to dunes, with a maximum altitude over 150 metres. 150 metres, which are pretty easy on a camel's back, rather harder by foot

Zagora is a town in the valley of the Draa River in a region called the Souss-Massa-Draâ in south-eastern Morocco. It is flanked by the Zagora Mountain, from which the town got its name. Originally it was called ‘Tazagourt’, Berber for ‘twinpeaks’, referring to the form of the mountain. In old European maps Zagora Mountain is already indicated although the town itself was only built in the 20th century.
