Premise:“Promoting Community Involvement at the Cutting Edge of fMRI Research” is a good thing.

‘Communities’ foster discussion and promote learning, acceptance and dissemination.

‘Involvement’ can consist of sharing ideas through words, pictures, techniques, data, observations, etc.

‘Community involvement’ can go well beyond the conferences, lab meetings and publications that comprise the majority of current interactions through the promotion of ‘real time’ and ‘continuous’ interaction forums AND the active participation of the individuals with direct interest in the outcome and advancement of the scientific endevour.

Taking a broad definition of ‘Resource’, communities of interested individuals can take advantage of the same infrastructure for interaction with a ‘topic’ as is currently used principally for software/hardware and database resources.
