March 18, 2019 Dear Friend of Elizabeth Harbour and Moriah Harbour Cay National Park, The Elizabeth Harbour Conservation Partnership, in collaboration with our partners The Bahamas National Trust and The Exuma Foundation, is undertaking an important and timely project to establish the first infrastructure in Exuma’s Moriah Harbour Cay National Park. We are excited that the major work of this project is nearing completion! We are also excited to announce that a focal point of the project, the “outdoor classroom” gazebo structure, will be named in honor of Mr. Basil Minns, who with his wife, Jane Minns were the true visionaries of protecting some of the most beautiful land and sea scapes here in Great and Little Exuma. As a lifetime member of The Bahamas National Trust and a tireless advocate for the environment, we feel this is a wonderful way to make sure Basil's love of nature and educating others is passed on to the next generation. Basil’s Outdoor Classroom, located on the eastern end of Stocking Island, will feature a 15’x25’ gazebo, boat landing, and educational signage. In addition to this structure, we plan to build small cabanas on Fowl Cay and Moriah Harbour Cay. We believe that the addition of this infrastructure will benefit all who engage in the tourism industry, students from Exuma and beyond, and those who love Exuma and value the accessibility and beauty of an undeveloped landscape. We have already received grant funding through the Global Environment Facility’s Small Grants Program (GEF SGP) that covers the cost of building materials. Generous contributions have been made by our partners and individual donors to bring the project to its current phase. For our final fundraising effort to ensure that this project becomes all it can be, we are seeking support from the community through volunteerism and dedication. We hope to host our first school groups on Stocking Island in May, so if you’d like to get involved this is a great time! Please see the following pages for ways that you can contribute and for more information. We appreciate your support at any level in this historic project for Exuma. Sincerely, Craig Parotti President Elizabeth Harbour Conservation Partnership

Dear Friend of Elizabeth Harbour and Moriah Harbour Cay National Park,

The Elizabeth Harbour Conservation Partnership, in collaboration with our partners The Bahamas National Trust and The Exuma Foundation, is undertaking an important and timely project to establish the first infrastructure in Exuma’s Moriah Harbour Cay National Park.

Sincerely,

Craig Parotti President Elizabeth Harbour Conservation Partnership

The Eastern end of Stocking Island and Moriah Harbour Cay are stunningly beautiful places to explore. The Exuma Foundation Environmental Education program has taken hundreds of Exumian students to these areas over the past three years to raise awareness about the Moriah Harbour Cay National Park and the wilderness in their own backyard. The addition of infrastructure in the Park will make these field trips even more possible, enjoyable and educational. A place to take a break from the sun, learn about the Park’s ecosystems and discover a peaceful place right across the harbour will not only benefit educational efforts, but tourists and local visitors alike.
