01 - Long Term Nominations : Generalities


The Long Term PA File is an ECAN v4.0 Rights Document

BusinessType = A33

ContractIdentification represents the right to nominate for a given oriented border and delivery date

ContractType and ContractIdentification must be repeated in the relevant Nomination file



The Nomination File is an ESS v3.3 Schedule Document

BusinessType = A06

CapacityContractType must repeat the ContractType of the Long Term PA file

ObjectAggregation = A04

CapacityAgreementIdentification must repeat the ContractIdentification of the LT PA file

24 Intervals with Resolution = PT60M



The Confirmation Report is an ESS v3.3 Confirmation Report

It is sent at the end of D-1 (17h00)

It states if the schedule was globally accepted (ReasonCode A06) or modified after matching (ReasonCode A07)

It explicitely highlights the TimeSeries that have been modified



The TCA is RTE : LT PA are sent by Morgan to CT and ITRs

- The Yearly and Monthly Rights are aggregated ; therefore you only have to make one nomination in Long Term, with CapacityContractType = A06

- The Nomination is A to B (fixed counterparty, entered by RTE)

Morgan will not send PA for CASC borders but will receive it from CASC

The Yearly and Monthly Rights are separated ; therefore you have to make two nominations if you possess Yearly Rights (ContractType A04) and Monthly Rights (ContractType A03)

You have to use the ContractIdentification provided by CASC to nominate

The Nomination is A to A

You can nominate RTE-ENBW, RTE-RWE and RTE-ELIA in the same file (both orientations)

Morgan sends a Confirmation Report stating if the nomination has been fully accepted, partially accepted or rejected (D-1, 17h00)

If you have a Nomination, you can modify it until the end of the Nomination Gate

Choose "PA & Nominations", "View PA & Nominations"

Choose the Nomination you want to modify

Click on the underline text in the "Details" panel

Modify your values and save

04 - Nomination Modification : by UI


To modify a Nomination, you have to take care of a few rules :

You must use the same DocumentIdentification and TimesSeriesIdentification you used to create the nomination

For each TimeSeries :

If the TimeSeries has been modified, you have to use an incremented TimeSeriesVersion which is equal to the DocumentVersion

If the TimeSeries has not been modified, you have to use the same TimeSeriesVersion as in the previous accepted or partially accepted version of the nomination file

You have to repeat all the TimeSeries sent in the previous document, even if they are not modified

Before you receive any PA, you can submit pre-nominations to the system

This an ESS v3.3 Schedule Document much alike the Nomination file

As soon as the Nomination Gate is open :

you cannot send pre-nominations anymore

The prenominations are submitted as nominations by the system (same MessageIdentification, MessageVersion incremented)

Part 2Part 2 - Downgraded modes to submit nominations or intra day reservation files


Downgraded mode: To submit a Nomination or an intra day reservation file

In case you meet some problems to access to MORGAN’s IHM to upload your files

-> contact RTE’s hotline to inform them about the situation

-> RTE’s hotline will do a diagnostic on the system’s status

Scenario 1 : the problem is located in the User’s system

-> in agreement with RTE’s hotline, the User has to send an XML fileXML file to RTE’s Rescue box

Scenario 2 : the problem is located in RTE’s system

-> RTE will keep you informed about the implemented downgraded mode :

* postpone of the nomination gate closure

* or transmission of XML files

* or cancellation of the gate (intra day for example)
