Moreton Morrell C of E Primary School Dear Parents and Carers, Please find below a sequence of three weeks’ worth of learning to cover the summer holidays. It is a little different to the ten day schemes of work we have been publishing during term time. There are tasks across the curriculum and they take the form of an Around the World trip. Please have a look at the World map first to see where you are going. The literacy learning will link in some way to the area of the world you are visiting on that day and in places I have signposted the order that would make the learning easier for you and your child. The Maths in this plan once again comes from White Rose Hub and covers the last three weeks on the website. As usual there are activities, videos and answers on the website under your year group section. Please access the Summer Maths Challenge for additional Problem Solving and Reasoning activities. For the challenge tasks in Maths I have included the Summer Maths Challenge document, this has been developed between myself and other Maths leads in order to provide a raft of opportunities for Problem Solving and Reasoning practise. Please remember that the learning can be accessed in any order and that your child can ‘dip in and out’ should they wish. The presentation expectations are still really important in the Learning Journals, as they will allow your children to feel a sense of continuing pride in these uncertain times, especially ensuring that handwriting is joined. I would like to take the chance to wish you all a very restful and well deserved summer break, and I look forward to welcoming you back in September. All the best, Mr Gimes
