or removed. Please check with your rangerfor firewood he or she generally has asupply to sell for campfires. Please do notgather it from within the park.
TREES: Do not tie or hang ropes, wire, or tents totrees. Do not drive nails, screws, or staplesinto trees.
GENERATORS: Use of generators is prohibited.
NOISE: To insure each park guests pleasure andpeace, quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to8:00 a.m. Of course, excessive noise and loudmusic is discouraged at all times.
FIREARMS & Firearms, fireworks, and weapons areWEAPONS: not permitted in County Parks.
YOUTH: All persons under 18 years of age must beaccompanied by a legally responsible adultwith medical authorization for each childwhile camping in the park.
ALCOHOLIC Alcoholic beverages are permittedBEVERAGES: providing the alcohol content does not
exceed 20%.

Welcome to Lake Morena Regional ParkMorena Reservoir lies in the middle of3,250 acres of chaparral, oak woods,and grassland. In addition to these naturalattributes, the park features some of the mostmodern camping facilities in San DiegoCounty. Picnicking, hiking, fishingLakeMorena Regional Park has something to offerevery outdoor enthusiast.
The lake is the highest (3,000 feet) andmost remote of the citys reservoirs. Becauseof its location southwest of the LagunaMountains, the park shows characteristics ofdesert, coastal, and mountain habitats. Thischaparral woodland is home to a variety ofanimals. Bald eagles, bobcats, and manymigratory waterfowl can be observed in theremote wilderness.
A Day in the CountryThe campground consists of 86 individual
sites, 58 of which have water and electricalhookups and are comfortably situated in agrove of majestic oaks. Lake Morena has ayouth camping site, primitive camping areas,and wilderness cabins. Even if you are notcamping, you can drop in for a picnic lunchand short hike. Trout fishing is excellent inwinter, and bass start biting in spring (thecurrent lake record for bass is a 19 lb. 3 oz.large-mouth, and the record trout weighed 12 lb.12 oz.). Spring and summer are also good forpanfish. Bring your own boat or rent one ofours. Hikers will want to explore the PacificCrest Trail, which passes through the park onits way to Canada. Only minutes away fromLake Morena Regional Park is Campo, whereyou can discover local history in the CampoStone Store or take an exciting train ridethrough the rugged backcountry.
