Ready to Run in Minutes This all-in-one hyperconverged solution is a 2U rack-optimized, ready-to-run hyperconverged appliance. The appliance is factory prevalidated and pretested to reduce the complexity of design and planning. The entire process of powering up the appliance, virtual machine (VM) provisioning and getting backup done locally and to the cloud takes just minutes, giving organizations the ability to quickly respond to business requirements.

Multi-Cloud Portal With the rise of public cloud adoption, many enterprises are using cloud services in different forms and for different reasons. Some organizations want to leverage the public cloud’s elasticity characteristics to manage workload with unforeseeable demand, and some may want to leverage public cloud’s pay-as-you-go model for a short-lived workload. Public cloud introduces enormous benefits for the enterprise, but yet many companies are hesitant to move their whole IT infrastructure into the public cloud for

Cloud Backup and Disaster Recovery The solution comes packaged with local and off-site backup to ensure that critical data is well protected. Backup to the appliance is done locally as a short retention to enable quick restores. It is also replicated to the Hitachi Cloud Services Connection data center for long retention and disaster recovery purposes. Deduplication and compression are applied to the backup replication to minimize the bandwidth requirement. As a cloud-based solution, it does not require capital expenditure (capex) on backup hardware or need to set up a disaster recovery site.

In disaster situations, as backup data is constantly replicated from the local to the disaster site, organizations can rest assured that their data is ready if and when they need to run their business from cloud. Per the disaster recovery request, Cloud Services Connection recovers the VM on the cloud and hands it over to the IT administrator for DR purposes. This approach provides a risk-free disaster recovery service to the IT organization.

To facilitate familiarity and assurance of a successful disaster recovery procedure, the all-in-one hyperconverged solution includes a one-time cloud disaster recovery drill. During the practice run, the organization experiences, firsthand, the ease of failover during a disaster and how to resume business at the disaster recovery site with minimal disruption.
