Single-Story Ascend Aeon 900 MHz

New superconducting wire technology, combined with active refrigeration, has allowed a substantial reduction in the size of actively shielded 900 Mhz magnets. The first customer installation at UCSD (Professor S. Opella) was for a dedicated solid-state spectrometer in 2013. This is now followed by the first solution-state 900 Mhz Ascend Aeon at the University of Bayreuth (Professor P. Rösch).
