- 1.Forgiving
2. Hard To Forgive
Some while ago my husband left me for another woman. I have tried
to entertain a forgiving spirit (even though he has never asked for
my forgiveness), but at times, especially if I see him in public
somewhere, I have flashes of anger and resentment. I feel guilty
about this, and I am concerned for my soul. Can you offer any
suggestions?
3. Philippians 2:2
fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of
one accord, of one mind.
4. The Need of Forgiveness.
5. The realities of forgiveness.
6. Only God Can Truly Forgive Sin.
"Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive
sins but God alone?"(Mark 2:7 NKJV)
7. Forgiveness is Based On Conditions.
Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what
they do." And they divided His garments and cast lots.(Luke 23:34
NKJV)
8. Forgiveness is Based On Conditions.
Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke
him; and if he repents, forgive him.(Luke 17:3 NKJV)
9. The attitude of forgiveness.
10. Luke 17:3-4
Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke
him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you
seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you,
saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."
11. Colossians 3:13
bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has
a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you
also must do.
12. The Road to forgiveness.
13. Get Your Heart Involved.
"So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his
heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses."
(Matthew 18:35 NKJV)
14. Your Heart Needs to Be Tender.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God in Christ forgave you.
(Ephesians 4:32 NKJV)
15. Forget About Retribution.
Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the
sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you,
live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but
rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE,
I WILL REPAY," says the Lord. Therefore "IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY,
FEED HIM; IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU
WILL HEAP COALS OF FIRE ON HIS HEAD." Do not be overcome by evil,
but overcome evil with good.
(Romans 12:17-21 NKJV)
16. Actively Seek Resolution.
"Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his
fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained
your brother.
(Matthew 18:15 NKJV)
17. Ephesians 4:31-32
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put
away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave
you.
(Ephesians 4:31-32 NKJV)
