PEOPLE OFTEN ASK HOW THE DAYS ARE SPENT WHEN ON CHARTER. WE’VE

ASKED CAPTAIN OLAV HINKE OF MY FLAMINGO DAZE TO TELL US ABOUT THE

USUAL ACTIVITIES ON BOARD THIS 151' HAKVOORT. I AGREE WITH CAPTAIN OLAV

THAT THERE IS NO “TYPICAL” CHARTER DAY SINCE EVERY CHARTER VARIES BASED

ON THE UNIQUE INTERESTS OF EACH GUEST. HE PROVIDES US WITH EXCELLENT

INSIGHT INTO THE CHARTER EXPERIENCE. — CAROLE MORAN

DURING A YACHT CHARTER, ACTIVITIES CHANGE FROM DAY TO DAY DEPENDING ON SPECIFIC ITINERARIES, WEATHER AND THE PERSONAL INTERESTS OF THE GUESTS. THE FOLLOWING IS A SAMPLE OF WHAT CAN TAKE PLACE WITH AN ACTIVE GROUP ON BOARD.

I GET UP VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING AND TAKE THE FISHING ENTHUSIASTS OUT TO SEA. WE TAKE ALONG FRESH CROISSANTS AND COFFEE THAT THE CHEF PREPARES FOR US. WHEN WE RETURN WITH OUR CATCH WE JOIN THE OTHER GUESTS FOR A FULL BREAKFAST. THE REST OF THE DAY IS PLANNED AROUND WATER SPORTS. DURING THE COURSE OF A ONE-WEEK CHARTER, WE’LL HAVE AT LEAST ONE SNORKEL TRIP AND PERHAPS A DIVE TRIP. WE HAVE A TERRIFIC SELECTION OF EQUIPMENT ON BOARD AND QUALIFIED CREW TO ASSIST IN EVERY WAY. OUR BEACH BARBECUE IS FIRST CLASS. WE SET UP TENTS, UMBRELLAS, A BEACH VOLLEYBALL NET, LIVE MUSIC AND THE CHEF PREPARES A GOURMET LUNCH ASHORE. SOME GUESTS MAY TAKE AN AFTERNOON SAIL. AFTER A LONG, ACTION-FILLED DAY, THERE IS TIME TO REST BEFORE HAVING A COOL DRINK AND WATCH THE SUNSET FROM THE UPPER DECK. MEALS MAY BE SERVED INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. AFTER DINNER, GUESTS CAN CHOOSE A MOVIE FROM OUR VAST LIBRARY AND WATCH IT ON THE TEN-FOOT SCREEN WITH SURROUND SOUND IN THE SKY LOUNGE. THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO THAT A DAY IS NOT ENOUGH TO TRY IT ALL; YET HOWEVER VARIED EACH CHARTER MAY BE, SOMETHING STAYS THE SAME: THE CREW IS ALWAYS THERE TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GREAT TIME ENJOYING THE ACTIVITIES OF YOUR CHOICE.

SOME OF THE MOST PICTURESQUE HARBORS

ST. LUCIA IS DOMINATED BY THE PITONS, TWO

DRAMATIC MOUNTAIN PEAKS. THE GRENADINES
