Moral Decision Making

SCV.01 explain the relationship between Scripture and Divine Revelation (CCC §51-141);

Moral Decision Making

The natural state of being is loving relationships;

Love calls us to seek and foster the good of others in the context of their concrete situation;

A covenant formalizes a loving relationship between two parties;

THE COVENANT formalizes a loving relationship between God and God’s people;

Moral Decision Making

The Ten Commandments best described the Covenant with the Jewish people;

Jesus fulfilled the Covenant, best describing it in the Beatitudes and Golden Rule;

Love is a decision: it requires us to make moral choices that aren’t always easy;

There are ways to make the best choices – we call this discernment.
