The purpose of MCCOA is to coordinate and implement public and private programs that promote and safeguard the independence, welfare, and dignity of the senior citizens of Montmorency County.

The senior building is for rent for meetings,

weddings, parties, etc. Alcoholic beverages

are permitted if you have your own liquor

license and liability insurance. No smoking

is allowed in the building.

Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning program designed to manage

falls and increase activity levels.

This program emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls.

YOU WILL LEARN TO:

home exercise to increase strength

and balance WHO SHOULD ATTEND? anyone concerned about falls anyone interested in improving

balance, flexibility and strength anyone who has fallen in the past anyone who has restricted activities

PROPANE / FUEL OIL Propane or fuel oil must be the applicant’s primary heat source. Residential tank must be at 25% or below.

FIREWOOD Firewood must be the applicant’s primary heat source. Current supply must be at two cords or less.
