We thank you Lord for the good work you’ve done and will continue doing through them in the years ahead. We thank you also for providing this beautiful place where they gather for worship, fellowship and the work of ministry. Lord Jesus may our brothers and sisters in Charleston continue to bless each other and the community you’ve called them to serve. 3 GRACE COMMUNION PHILIPINES For the past few weeks the active Mayon Volcano located in Legazpi City, has been posing a major threat and causing major evacuation in the area. The ash in the air poses a threat to people and livestock. The number of memebers affected in the area is growing. The church is already responding to help mobilize food and temporary shelter. Please pray that God will avert a powerful eruption, keep the people including our brethren safe, and provide for humanitarian needs in the area. 4 GRACE COMMUNION MEMBERS Many are experiencing colder weather – greater expense in heating and protection. 7Let us intentionally pray for our pastors in Nigeria as they puruse the high calling of pastoral ministry. “And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.”Jeremiah 3:15

Our prayers are for our members in Honduras. The country has been in political turmoil for over a month after the recent election. The whole country is in tension. There are over 30 people dead as a result of the situation. Services have been cancelled a few times for the safety of the members.

Please pray for the Philip-pines visit of Dr. Tkach, and GC-USA Regional Pastors Rick Shallenberger & Tim Sitterly. They will be facilitating a conference gathering 300 present and emerging leaders from all over the country, towards our common goal of developing healthy churches. There will also be a combined thanks-giving celebration. May God grant protection, leading and blessing for visit and activities.

We praise you, our Triune God, for the leaders you have equipped and called and sent to us at GCI to participate in Your ministry of reconciliation to all mankind. We pray blessings on all of them, and especially giving thanks today for Koa Shima for stepping forward and sharing his musical talents with our New Hope Christian Fellowship congregation. Help us to encourage, to nurture and to counsel him wisely with your grace and love. Help our congregation to welcome Your young leaders into our midst and into our hearts. Amen.

14Father, we know that we love only because you first love us. Regardless of our relationship status may we experience your love in personal ways. For those who have made the convenant to love each other as you love your church. Grant them the grace and strength to honor the promises they have made and reflect the love you have for us into this world.

16We praise God for the New National Ministry Team. Takalani Muskwa will be the Leader, supported by Ghil Khoury and three regional pastors. We celebrate their willingness to step in and pray for wisdom, strength and unity for the team.

25Lord we lift up those in our fellowship seeking employment. Please lead them to postitions where they can leverage the talent and skills you have blessed them with. Proviide discernment and confidence as they seek to honor you with their work.

Each one of you is part of the body of Christ, and you were chosen to live together in peace. So let the peace that comes from Christ control your thoughts. And be grateful. Colossians 3:15

Peace comes from resting in the truth of who God is (loving, kind, gracious, and always working for our good), and remembering who we are (his beloved children). Take some time to write out some truths about who you are because of Christ.

28Lord, we bring to you Kansas City transitional leadership team. We thank you for their willingness to step into these new positions, and pray that bless the desires of their hearts for their congregation. We ask the you encourage them with a clear vision of their next steps, and a Holy Spirit inspired synergy among their team.

Our Community Café that feeds local families joined us for a movie after services on Dec 31. We served popcorn, candy, and bottle water to guests who wanted to attend the movie. We pray that as we share Christ’s love with our community, lives will be surrendered to the Father and transformed by the Spirit.

22Prayer of thanksgiving for a successful 37th SEP in Australia. 70 campers and 40 staff engaged in fun, family, and faith over 8 days. Campers and staff enjoyed exploring the theme of “The Journey” in worship and discussions each day.

Praising God for his provision. With help from a member in France, a much-needed bicycle was donated to our leader Mr. Chafa. He had been walking over six miles each week from his home in Bunda to Ntuwas-weka to serve the people there.
