Season of The Great Lent

Prayer for Vocations

O heavenly Father, we pray for an increase in

vocations to the priesthood and religious life for

the service of your holy people. We ask you to

send more Holy laborers into your vineyard.

Ash Monday Begins Lent on February 15, 2021

On Monday February 15, 2021 we will have a Mass & the

Blessing of Ashes

at 7:00 pm with the distribution of ashes at the end of

liturgy.

Everyone please remember to fast on Ash Monday.

Stations of the Cross

Every Friday starting on February 19 and on

February 26, & 0n March 5, 12, 19, 26, 2021

during the Season of Lent we will walk in prayer

with Christ tracing the steps

leading up to His Passion and death on the Cross.

We invite all of you to come

to the Stations of the Cross at 7:00 pm.

You are very encouraged to approach the

sacrament of reconciliation during this season of

Great Lent. Father Raymond will be available on

Fridays before or after the Stations of the Cross.

Please make a point to reconcile yourself with

Religious Education

All religious education classes have resumed and are taking place every other Saturday at 11 am at the church hall. Eucharistic Adoration

The Eucharistic adoration will take place every last Friday of the month after the 10 am morning mass until 11:30am. Announcements

Please inform us of your family announcements that you would like to share with the parish members, such as: graduations, weddings, engagements, birthdays or anniversaries.

Church Etiquette

Please observe the following etiquette while

attending Mass and before “God” the “King of Kings”:

Arrive 15 minutes prior to Mass to prepare yourself for

the Divine Liturgy.

Turn your cell phones off or to silent mode (for emer-

gency).

Refrain from chewing gum, crossing legs, personal conversations and etc…..

St Maron’s Feast Day

St. Maron’s Feast day, on Tuesday February 9th

has been designated a Holy Day of Obligation for

all Maronites, which means if you are a Maronite

you must attend Mass on That specific day.

Our Mass will be offered here at St. Maron’s on

Tuesday Feb 9 at 7:00 P.M.

Playing Music Instrument?

For old and young people who play any music instrument (Piano, Violin, Guitar…) at good levels, and would like to form a church music ensemble, please meet us with your instruments or call Fr. Yours to sing at Liturgy. Participating in the Sunday music ministry is a beautiful way to honor God.

on the baptism of their Son Michael El-Bahri.

grant him a healthy and happy life.

Engagement

Our congratulations and best wishes to Doctor Ralph Rizk and Miss Daniella Sousou who were engaged two weeks ago before Fr. Raymond at St.Maron church.

We pray that the Lord God bless and guide them on their journey of their preparations for their marriage.

Sacrament of Baptism (And Chrismation)

The Sacrament of Baptism is usually celebrated on Sunday after the 11:00 am Liturgy. Other times may be arranged with the priest. Please contact the parish office with any recent births so we may note them in our bulletin.

Sacrament of Marriage

Preparation for Pre-Cana and arrangements for the Sacrament of

Marriage must be made with the priest at least 6 months prior to your anticipated wedding date.

Sacrament of Reconciliation (Penance)

Fr. Raymond is available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation before and after each Liturgy or by appointment. Remember, Christ is present in the participation of the Sacrament. When you confess your sins directly to God you miss out on receiving a beautiful Grace.

Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick

If you anticipate a procedure or surgery, and would like to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, contact the parish office to make arrangements. Fr. Raymond will be happy to come and anoint you or a loved one in their affliction.

Communion to the Homebound

If you or your loved one is homebound and wish to receive Holy Communion, please contact the parish office to arrange a visit. Fr. Raymond is waiting for your call and will be glad to serve this Mystery.

Vocations

Do you feel as though God is calling you to serve him as a Priest or a Sister? If you are trying to discern your vocation, Fr. Raymond would be happy to meet with you to discuss.
