1 Month 2015-16 DEC 2016-17 1 THE HHS TIMES With the purpose to instil sportsman spirit among students and to enhance their physical and social skills the preprimary section organized Annual sports meet on 29 th December. Marking the commencement of the grand event the Chief Guests Mrs.Radhika Hariyani, our managing representative of Hanumant high school and the principal, Mr.Rajesh Tiwari were welcomed by the senior kg students. The students of pre- primary section looked smart in their P.T uniform. Each class was led by the class teachers. After the spec- tacular march past, Mrs.Radhika Hariyani declared the sports meet open. All the students of Junior KG and Senior KG participated with great excitement in Dance displays and in yoga demonstrations .After the display the track events like Hurdle, under the table, collecting ball, get ready for school, Hand lock, bal- ancing ball races were held, where the twinkling stars gave their best. The parents also enthusiastically cheered and inspired to students.

Apart from commemorating victories, sports meets also aim at imparting lessons on sportsman spirit and camara-derie to children. The school playground of Hanumant High School was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere on 30th December 2016 as school celebrated its 6th Annual Sports meet. The programme began with the welcoming of our chief guest Mr. Kishore Jani who is the Principal of a school in Savarkundla, our Principal Mr. Rajesh Tiwari and Managing Representative Mrs.Radhika Hariyani. The event commenced with the hoisting of the flag by the chief guests followed by the Torch relay. The oath was administered by the Head girl and house captains, after which, the chief guest declared the meet open. The students displayed a wide array of colourful and reverberant events such as Mass drill, Cricket display, pyramid display and lezim display. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. Fun time with a tug- of- war between the teachers and parents added to the enjoyment. The students mesmerized the audience with their energetic performances. Students showcased their unity, understanding and will-power. Winners took pride in accepting the medals and other participants cheered them with aplomb, the ground reverberated with feverish enthusiasm as the tempo set in with the teachers and the students excitedly cheering them, voicing the spirit of oneness among all. The lowering of the school flag which marks the end of the closing ceremony was done cere-moniously in the presence of the everyone present there. The sports meet concluded with a vote of thanks by the student of Primary section. All the students dispersed carrying with them sweet memories of the day which will be remembered in the travelogue of their school life and also with the expectations of yet another exciting sports meet, in the year to follow.

The festival of Christmas celebrates the glorious advent of the Son of God, Jesus born in Bethlehem. His mes-sage of Love and Compassion inspires millions of followers all over the world today. Christmas is a time to give and forgive. Excitement reverberated in the air as the festival of joy and giving was celebrated with great festive spirit by the students at Hanumant High School Mahuva. The children came dressed in their party attire. The celebration started with a meaningful thought. A pleasant and happy atmosphere was created with the sing-ing of Christmas Carols. The message of Christmas was clearly brought out through the play by students of grade 1st, 2nd and 5th. The entire economy gets a boost with a dance performance . Through fun and celebra-tion the very important message of peace, hope, love and joy was shared with the children.

“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right”.

The preprimary section welcomed New Year 2017 in dif-ferent way on 2nd January. Under the guidance of teach-ers all kids took oath with full dedication and determined to follow the pledge in their everyday life. Then celebra-tion followed with speech, dance, and songs and activi-ties.

PRE-PRIMARY SECTION

The English Elocution Competition of class I to V was held on 19.12.16 in the assembly hall. The Semi-final round of English Elocution competition was taken on 15.12.16. Only 5 students were selected from the all sec-tions of class I to V. This competition at school level gives students a good opportunity to combat with the biggest fear factor i.e. stage fear. It is an attempt of the school to promote English speaking skill. The topic was sports personality such as Sania Mirza, M S Dhoni, Vi-rat Kohli or poet such as Narsinh Mehta, Zaverchand Meghani, Rabindranath Tagore, William Shakespeare. The speeches were exciting and judging the winners was difficult. They selected first, second and third from each sections.

The preprimary section organized “a Storytelling compe-tition” for Senior KG and “Poem recitation competition” for Nursery and Junior KG on 29th November, 2016. The Children were very enthusiastic and the way they ex-pressed themselves was appreciable. The activity helped the students to inculcate good moral values, enhanced their vocabulary and speaking skills.
