1 Month 2015-16 In RBK- Hanumant High School, today on 01/07/2016 we celebrated Green Day for Pre-primary section. The main motto behind celebrating Green Day is to introduce Green colour to kids and explain them about the importance of greenery in our lives. All Pre-Primary class rooms and corridors were decorated on theme Green. Teachers and all kids were dressed in Green. Importance of Green colour was presented by the teachers in assembly. We also conducted some activities such as earth decoration, crafting and pasting of tortoise, crayoning, etc. It was a fully energetic day! JULY 2016-17 1 THE HHS TIMES

Month 2015-16

In RBK- Hanumant High School, today on 01/07/2016 we celebrated Green Day for Pre-primary section. The main motto behind celebrating Green Day is to introduce Green colour to kids and explain them about the importance of greenery in our lives.

All Pre-Primary class rooms and corridors were decorated on theme Green. Teachers and all kids were dressed in Green. Importance of Green colour was presented by the teachers in assembly.

We also conducted some activities such as earth decoration, crafting and pasting of tortoise, crayoning, etc. It was a fully energetic day!

The festival of Eid was celebrated on 5th July – 2016 by Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary section in Hanumant High School. There was a speech by a student on the occasion giving in-formation on the grandness of Eid. The stu-dents of all sections performed a “Qawwali” related to this festival. The power-point presen-tation along with the explanation added to the

gist of celebration. The students had a glance at the pictures related to the peculiar food items prepared on this festival, the greetings and celebration. All the students enjoyed the celebration delightfully.

PRI-PRIMARY SECTION

On July 12, 2016 Pre-primary section celebrated Red Day in nursery and junior grades and Purple day in senior grade. Red symbolizes love, life vitality and power and purple

symbolizes royalty, luxury, and ambition. Teachers and kids were clad in red and purple clothes. The students were shown different things of red and purple colour and

the atmosphere was also constructed ac-cording to the con-cept of the day. Jun-iors did activity of making red butterflies and thumb impres-sion in flower pot and

nursery did crayoning and sponge dabbing in letter ‘L’. Senior KG prepared an octopus. All the kids enjoyed the day by doing fun activities.

Sensory Booth Day was organized by Hanumant High School Pre-primary section on 20th July, 2016. This event was for Senior K.G. students. Five sensory booths were created. For each sense booth (Sight, Smell, Taste, Hearing and Touch) area was allocated to each of the senses with items pertaining to its spe-cific needs. Our kids got a hand on experience. In sight booth - kids experienced a variety of visuals aids. In smell booth - they were made to smell differ-ent aromas which made them aware of their sense to smell. In taste booth - they were made to taste differ-ent eatables like to experience the taste of sweet, sour, bitter, salty and spicy, etc. In touch booth - kids were made to experience different sensations, different tex-tures. In hearing booth- kids were made to experi-ence different types of sound. It was a great learning experience for our students.

Pre-school programs can be enriched through the inclusion of carefully planned fieldtrips. Keeping this in mind, pre-primary children were taken on a visit to a nearby plant nursery (Amit nursery) on 25/07/2016. It was amaz-ing to see them observe and describe different plants and flowers. They were excited to interact with gardener and were curious to see everything surrounding them. Kids were given chocolates and a packet of biscuit which really made them happy. They thanked to the gardener and finally our day ended with this beautiful day out which helped them in enriching their overall learning.

Month 2015-16

On 13th July 2016, a Poster making Competition was or-ganized for the students from III to V. The theme for the competition was Environment. The students were asked to express their ideas through paintings and sketches. The Students participated with immense zeal and enthusiasm and made very beautiful posters which gave the message of saving our mother Earth and provide a greener Environ-ment to our future generations. It was a great opportunity to watch these young minds trying to create their ideas of a better environment on paper. The competition was really enjoyed by all students.

PRIMARY SECTION

On 20th July 2016, a Map-skill marking Activity was organized for the students of III to V. It was a group activity for testing the geographical knowledge of the students. They stuck the cheats of names of states on the map of India. This CCA competition was really enjoyed by all students.

On 20thJuly 2016, An Art and Craft take away Competi-tion was organized for the students I and II. The topic was “Newspaper doll”. The teachers of Grade I and II made different parts of doll from newspaper. The students were guided to use their creativity in sticking and arranging various parts of doll for making a paper-doll. It was “Fun and Learn” activity for kids. A blend of remark-able creativity and imagination was displayed by children enthusiastically. All the students took part keenly and made beautiful dolls from the newspapers. The enthusiasm of the students made the event successful and highly en-joyable.

Biscuit Decoration Competition was organized for the students of grade III to V. It was a mass competition conducted in their respective classrooms.It is a saying that first we eat food by our eyes.The students deco-rated them with simple icing, sweets, sprinkles, choco-lates, nuts, vegetables, and fruits. They have made dif-

ferent shapes like dolls, a train, a house etc. This was apleasurable experi-ence. Children participat-edwith great enthusiasm. Overall it was a tough competition.

Vegetables aren't just for eating! They can be used to make beautiful paintings and crafts. The Primary Section of the Hanumant High School, Mahuva held a Vegetable printing Competition on 27 July, 2016 for the students of grade 1st & 2nd. Kids are always looking for new things to set their sights on. As a teacher, we need to ensure that our busy students have something productive to keep them occupied and avoid wasting precious time. How about vegetable painting for children? Sounds fun isn’t it? This craft is super simple for the younger ones. All that a stu-dent requires for this activity are some vegetables from kitchen and some paints. This is a terrific, inexpensive way to introduce printmaking to students. It was a mass competition conducted in their respective classrooms. All the students actively participated. It was to evaluate their creative skills.

On 28th July, 2016 Mono-acting competi-tion was held. Grade VI to VIII students par-t i c i p a t e d . T h e topics were

The students performed very well. The Judges also appreciated their talents.

A Classroom decoration Competition was held on 16th July 2016. Grade from VI to X participated in the competition. The Competi-tion was creative and infor-mative. The Principal and the coordinator observed all classrooms and graded them. The Students were very happy and enthusiastic while decorating the class.

On 21st July, 2016 an essay writing competition was held. All the students participated in the writing Com-petition. Such competitions enhance the writing talent of the students. Three best participants from each class were selected.
