ENTRIES CLOSE Thursday, March 15, 2018, 4 PM Entries will be accepted until the official closing date at the Test Secretary's mailing address, 382 Brooktree Ranch Rd, Aptos, CA 95003-9737 after which time entries cannot be accepted, canceled, or substituted.

DRAW: The draw for participants and alternates will be held March 15, 2018, at 4:00 PM at the address of the Test Secretary. The draw for the tracking order will be held at 9:45 a.m. the day of the test at the site.

ENTRY LIMIT 5 VST TRACKS ENTRY FEE: $125.00

ELIGIBILITY: The Variable Surface Tracking Title Test (VST) is for AKC Recognized Breeds that have earned the TD,TDU or TDX title. A dog may continue to participate in this test after it has earned the VST title. However, the tracking test secretary will give priority to entries for dogs that do not hold a VST title. This test is open to dogs registered in the Canine Partners Program.

Notification of the drawing results will be made as soon as possible thereafter. Should such notification not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Tracking Test Secretary.

REMAINING ENTRIES: When the advertised limits have been drawn, all remaining entries, subject to the same preferences set forth above, shall be assigned a position on an Alternate List corresponding to the order in which they were drawn. In the event that entries drawn to participate are absent at the time tracks are drawn, alternates will be assigned available tracks in the order in which alternates were drawn. Fees will be returned within seven (7) days following the Test to all alternates who do not participate. Entry fees will be returned to absent exhibitors if an alternate is available to run that track. TEST WORKER OPTION: Chapter 1, Section 17d of AKC Regulations – One (1) VST track will be reserved for test workers who have earned required credit. If necessary, a random drawing may be held to determine which test worker is chosen. The remaining workers will automatically be included in the drawing with all other tracking entries received. DRAWING FOR RUNNING ORDER: The drawing for the Tracks will begin at 9:45 A.M the day of the Test, March 25, 2018. Testing will begin as soon as tracks have

aged sufficiently. A handler not present at the drawing will be considered absent and an alternate will be assigned to fill the position. Please do not arrive prior to 8:00 AM. LODGING: Motel 6, 100 Reservation Rd. Marina, CA 93933 Ph: 831-384-1000, (Motel ID #1026), Four miles to tracking site. Very close by: Marina State Beach. Denny’s Restaurant AWARDS: Participation gifts will be given. An engraved club medallion will be awarded to each dog earning a VST title at the test. A CT patch will be awarded to each dog earning a Champion Tracker title at this test. DOGS ATTENDING: Only dogs eligible for AKC events are allowed on the premises. Dogs must be quiet in vehicles and on leash when out of vehicles. Bitches in season may compete. Notify the test secretary as soon as you arrive should your dog be in season. FACILITIES AND GROUNDS: The Monterey Bay coastline frequently can be fog shrouded. Layered clothing is advisable. However, participants are advised that the staging location is in a treeless parking lot. Shade may be needed. Continental Breakfast is offered by the club. We are guests of the University and wish to show the staff by our collective conduct and consideration that we appreciate this gift. EVENT CANCELATION: In the event of catastrophic conditions, it could be necessary to cancel the test. Refunds would not be made. DIRECTIONS TO THE TEST SITE: Staging area may change. From Highway One (North or South): Exit freeway at Lighfighter. Turn left at General Jim Moore. Turn left on Divarty. Turn first left into first parking lot on left side. You will see a trailer and set up in the middle of a large asphalt area. No street parking is allowed. No shade available.
