Wisconsin Department of Public InstructionChild and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
SPONSORING ORGANIZATION
• An entity with two or more affiliated sites
• Responsible for overseeing the food program at sites
• Additional CACFP requirements in GM5

Monitoring• Pre-Operational Visits• Monitoring Reviews
• Completed by Monitors– Recommended they do not work at the site
being reviewed– Preferably the same person monitoring all
sites – Monitoring staff must receive training on
CACFP requirements annually
Pre-Operational Visits
• New sites• Sites that move to a new location• Sites that close for more than one
month
• Complete before starting the CACFP
