What’s the benefits?
• Well established – All LAs use it
• All local growth programmes on one system - simple to use access through a single web portal
• Metrics streamlined – We have listened to you!
• Secure - no more need for multiple excel spreadsheets
• No development or ongoing costs involved as using an existing system and part of the government family
• We acknowledge that there maybe some issues with LOGASnet (e.g. ESIF) - In the pipeline for migration to new corporate ‘Datamart’ solution
Current state of play

Current situation – work to date
• Local Growth System has been designed and developed over the last few months
• We have carried out some ‘pre-testing’ with a LEP (C2C) to get their initial feedback
• We have arranged for a group of LEPs (Black Country, New Anglia, Manchester, Lancashire, C2C & Thames Valley Berkshire, Cheshire & Warrington, Buckinghamshire Thames Valley) to take part in a ‘Proof of concept’ phase of work. Testing started this week and we have already begun to receive feedback.

Longer term – Data Mart

Future – migration to DCLG Data Mart
• DCLG IT are implementing a new data mart solution utilising new technology pioneered by leading internet companies such as Google, facebook and amazon
• Intention is to retire LOGASnet in summer 2016 and rebuild functionality in DCLG Data Mart solution.
• Programmes currently supported by LOGASnet will in turn be migrated including the Local Growth Programmes next year.
