The Current Cost Ethos is to empower consumers with real time information that helps them identify their energy usage and costs, enabling them to

change their energy awareness and habits. We don’t want you to stop using… just stop wasting.


Current Cost Quel Bespoke Graphical User Interface

The Quel product range provides our customers with a full colour 7 inch configurable graphical user interface. The My-Quel and C-Quel with full

touch screen technology allows users to navigate via our Quel dashboard.


Current Cost Quel Smart Metering

•The Quel is not just limited to the Gas and Electricity Utilities, but could be used with Water and Oil meters.

•At the touch of the keypad, the Quel displays an Overview of the energy consumption.

•At a further touch, any Individual Appliance Monitors can be accessed.

•With the Current Cost new WiFi Enabled Smart Plugs, the Quel can not only monitor, but switch on/off individual appliances.

•The display is configurable to the Utilities branding scheme or display requirements.

•The Quel is fully SMETS compliant and easily upgradable to newer standards by simply updating over the customers Home Area Network.

Current Cost Quel Communications

•The Quel has a built in Web Browser which can be locked to the Utility’s website, and can be used for marketing and communication between Utility and the customer.

•The Quel has a built in Email system which can be locked into 2-way communication between customer and Utility, sending billing information, alerts, new offers, and general marketing information.

•The Quel allows grouping of customers, giving the Utility the ability to target groups of customer depending on how they may partition them.

•The Quel has a Video Player which the Utility can use to provide tutorials, self help, hints & tips or new advertising campaigns, again all targeted to the specific customer.


Current Cost Quel – Example Applications

•The Quel could be used as a Photo Frame, displaying the customers family photos. The customer is therefore more likely to keep using the Quel long term.

•The Quel can also display and compare Solar generated energy using Current Costs In-Line transmitter.

•An off-the-shelf or custom application can be used to display the energy generated.

•Other possible applications range from •weather •alarm clock / stopwatch / timer, •news, •food recipes, •Skype, and so on…
