TERMINAL “REPRINT LAST” FUNCTIONIn the rare instance that your lottery terminal encounters a printing error, the “REPRINT LAST” function is used to complete a Retailer Request for Credit of a non-printed ticket. This is the only time a retailer should reprint a ticket. “Reprint Last” tickets that are printed are not valid tickets and are not to be given to players. To the right is an example of a “Reprint Last” ticket.

The Lottery is planning to launch a mobile device application later this spring. The mobile application will allow players access to the features and functions that are currently available through the Players Club website. Using a variety of internet-connected devices, such as smart phones and tablets, players will be able to use the mobile application to purchase online lottery plays, check tickets, scan tickets to earn Players Club points, find near-by lottery retailer locations and purchase tickets using an ePlayslip feature.

Similar to the current Players Club website, players can select their favorite retailer to receive the 5% sales commission during the online purchase process. The field populates with a list of current retailers, the player selects their favorite retailer and you are credited with the commission on your next weekly electronic funds transfer.

The find a retailer location feature allows players to search for the nearest lottery retailer closest to their current location.

The ticket scan feature is an additional tool to help alleviate lines at the ticket counters. Players will be able to check tickets with the scan feature that automatically alerts the player whether a ticket is a winner or non-winner. Players will also be able to scan their winning or non-winning tickets to earn points rather than manually entering the 25-digit code.

The ePlayslip feature provides players a quick and easy way to purchase lottery tickets from any lottery retailer. Players generate an ePlayslip on their mobile device that can be saved for repeated use. The retailer scans the mobile device with the wireless hand-held bar code reader to print the ticket. Utilizing the wireless reader, there is no need for associates to handle the player’s mobile device.

During the launch of the mobile application, the Lottery will conduct a re-brand campaign for the subscription service. The new name for the subscription service will be Pick & Click.

MANUALLY CASHING TICKETSLottery tickets can be cashed from any screen using the barcode scanners. In the case that a barcode is unreadable, tickets can be cashed man-ually. To manually cash lottery tickets:

1. At the HOME screen, touch the CASH tab;2. Touch the [Cash Draw Ticket] button and con-

firm that the Mode is set to New Format;3. Use the keypad to enter the serial number and

touch [OK].4. The terminal prints a receipt. 5. Give receipt to player as well as return all win-

ning and non-winning tickets to player.

• Give ALL winning and non-winning lottery tickets back to the player.

• Give ALL customer receipts to the player.• Keep all retailer receipts for the store’s

records.• No credit will be issued to retailers for

misprinted tickets.• Valid misprinted tickets may be sold to

players before the draw occurs.• Lottery tickets cannot be voided, canceled or

refunded.• Players cannot use credit cards to purchase

lottery tickets.• Confirm ticket purchase amount. Collect

payment up front for large ticket purchases (example $50+) prior to ticket printing.

RETAILER REQUEST FOR CREDIT FORMTo receive credit for a defective ticket (due to a hardware or software error), a retailer must fill out a Retailer Request for Credit form available at the North Dakota Lottery website (LOTTERY.ND.GOV), under the FOR RETAILERS tab.

Along with the completed form, retailers must also submit the original ticket (if available), a “Reprint Last” report and a Transaction History report. Both the “Reprint Last” report and the Transaction History report should be printed immediately after the error occurs.

To determine if you have been charged for a ticket, refer to the Transaction History report. As shown, an error occurred when cashing a 2by2 ticket that won 41 free plays. Four tickets printed before the error occurred. The retailer was given credit, but not charged, for the subsequent tick-ets that did not print. In this case, the retailer owes the player $37 for the non-printed tickets. Questions can be directed to your Lottery Custom-er Service Representative at 701.328.1574.
