List and discuss the different types of passive and active transport mechanisms by writing about the following: (1) differentiate between active and passive transport with regards to energy, (2) list and define the four types of passive transport, (3) list and define two types of active transport, (4) describe the two types of vesicles and how they differ depending on the material inside them. 2. Describe the mechanisms a cell uses to maintain homeostasis by writing about the following: (i) define homeostasis, (ii) describe why a cells tries to maintain homeostasis, (iii) describe two main ways a cell maintains homeostasis (with or without energy), and (iv) describe the three different tonicity categories and the resulting movement of water for each category.
