Montanez Remains Hospitalized: Jockey Rosario Montanez remains hospitalized atAlbany Medical Center, where he underwent overnighteye surgery as a result of a spill in Saturday=s fifth raceat Saratoga. Montanez was transported by ambulanceto the hospital after being unseated from his mount. Hewas evaluated for facial injuries and a possibleconcussion and also complained of pain in his ribs andpelvic area. Though there was no damage to the opticnerve, hospital officials told NYRA publicity that therider would need additional surgery and that he wouldremain hospitalized for at least two more days.
