Recycle Your Old Cell Phones

Do you have an old cell phone that you no longer use? Please recycle it and help the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore save the animals. Coltan, an ore that provides essential

components for cell phones and other electronics, is primarily mined in critical habitats for gorillas and chimpanzees. By recycling old cell phones, we can reduce

the need for mining in areas where gorillas and chimpanzees live. It will help to protect critical habitat as well as keep toxic chemicals out of our land ills. Drop off your old cell phone to the box located in the entrance foyer of the Senior Center.

147 Cell Phones have been donated so far by the Catonsville Senior Center. Thanks!

Department of Aging News and Events

Dear Senior Center Member:

Beginning Monday, October 1, 2018, all senior center members are encouraged to renew their membership for the 2018-2019 year. Re-registration is an important process as it allows staff to update your contact information and provide you with important resources and information to make your experience at the Baltimore County seniors centers the best it can be! You are also given the opportunity to donate to the center’s enhancement fund which provides equipment and programming. By renewing your membership, you join over 20,000 other individuals who are strengthening their lives through the services, programs and connections to resources offered by the Baltimore County Department of Aging (BCDA). I hope that as a result of your interactions with us you are “Living Longer * Living Well.”
