Goals:• You will recall the important historical

facts from 9th and 10th grade in preparation for the history STAR

• You will practice historical thinking and writing in preparation for 11th grade

• You will overcome a great challenge so that you can feel strong going into the summer

Find a historical artifact that represents the time period (photo, document, speech, physical object), OR…

MAKE a historical artifact that explains the content standard (poster, cartoon, image, poem, video, etc.)

Write an explanation of the artifact that summarizes its meaning and relevance

*If doing extension* - Write an additional 2 paragraphs:

• Explaining the significance of the artifact referring to 2-3 historical events from the topic

• Explaining the significance of this content standard to our modern day.
